    Interesting : At midnight on the day leading to the first full moon after "nawa-raathri" (aka "Dussera"), Lakshmi the goddess of wealth blesses those who stay alert to and dwell on Indra [long story] and herself. The event is called "ko jaagaree" (Sanskrit for roughly "whoever is alert").

    Unsurprisingly, Lakshmi-related services are common that evening, My experience at one such service was just mind-blowing. The dedication of the hosts (and the entire family) to the service was instructive on how to commit and deliver for a chosen cause.

    Also, the knowledge and proficiency of the chief priest (who was also the host) powerfully demonstrated the value of scholarship and experience in one's chosen field. It was inspiring to see him and his team in action.

    And, the dinner was over-the-top good. A proper feast truly worthy of a Lakshmi event. 🪙

    I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to attend the event. 🙇‍♂️
