Two weeks ago, I finally managed to escape a three-year toxic and economically abusive relationship in Buenos Aires. I relocated to Córdoba to start my life over from zero. I had to leave fast. A few weeks back, I asked for help for a friend of mine down in Australia who is having trouble finding a job after abruptly losing her last one. Some wonderful, generous people on this platform pitched in and ensured that she'd still have a roof over her head while she waits for her unemployment insurance application to kick in.

A couple of weeks ago, I asked for help for my friend down in Australia who is having some serious issues finding a job after losing her old one. With the help of several generous people here, she has managed to stay afloat a little longer!
Unfortunately, she's still having issues.
She's been applying for every job in her area--fast food, dog grooming, general IT work--and is struggling to get callbacks despite her pretty wide range of skills. Her situation has us both baffled.
In the meantime, however, she could use some help with her rent and bills so she doesn't lose her home and her animals.

Mastodon is a wonderful community of very generous people. You all have helped me so much over the past couple of years, and now, I'm going to beg you to help a dear friend.
Isabeau lives in Australia. She lost her job few weeks ago, and has been applying to every place that is taking applications--everything from dog grooming to fast food to IT work.
She has a few leads, and is SO CLOSE to securing employment, but her savings have run out.
She just needs to cover a couple of weeks of rent, and have food for her animals. All of her furry babies are rescues, most of which were initially scheduled to be put down, but she gave them a new chance at a life of love.
