Each line contains a pause near the middle, similar to a caesura, though the break need not be metrical. The first half of the line contains six to nine syllables; the second half should contain no fewer than five. Originally intended as songs, sijo can treat romantic, metaphysical, or spiritual themes. Whatever the subject, the first line introduces an idea or story, the second supplies a “turn,” and the third provides closure. Modern sijo are sometimes printed in six lines.

Ladies and Gentlemen, your most gracious extension of compassion towards my plight in this arduous existence, would be a beacon of hope as it would be most humbly appreciated;

I really need some much need #financial support right now, from #medicalbills and #healthcare needs to tend to, to #food, #personal hygiene, #rent to #clothing and shoes for #fall and #winter before it arrives and I am unprepared, I am far behind on filling my day to day needs, #disability and #poverty do not offer the support one needs to live, it is a constant battle just to barely exist each day, your support would mean the world to me right now, thank you for sharing your compassion with me today;

For what illusion has become of a humanity void of compassion, empathy and logic, for as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, man has pondered the meaning of time, for value has been placed upon what one can provide to those that have, while dignity has been stripped of those whom no longer can stand and work the fields, the rampant hunger of despair has outpaced the rising tides, the broken dreams and vacant hope has turned a world of plenty into a barren void of undignified desolation, for not cares for his brother for not watches out for her sister, for not one has room for those who came before, like a forgotten cemetery society has become a prison and it's warden the vanity of self importance, as you scroll through your life and ignore the plights of those around, you struggle to see the point to simply be kind, for yet when you stumble and fall you cry out lord please help me now, for all the times you left the beggar hungry, the sick to die, the homeless to rot in weathers harsh reality, to see humans as more than demonic animals is but a delusion to shield you from the reality, that all the worlds hate and fears begins and ends with you;
