The political implications of the record price of diesel far outweigh the inflationary impact on the general economy.
The good news is that there will be fewer drunks out driving pickup trucks you can walk under because they will have to choose between drinking cheap beer sitting on a busted couch out on the stoop and expensive diesel to go out honky-tonking over to the county seat.
