Con el tiempo, muchos aeropuertos incorporaron radares de superficie para controlar el movimiento de los aviones incluso con visibilidad nula.
Sin embargo, ninguna mejora pudo borrar aquellas imágenes tomadas antes del vuelo.
La fotografía de la tripulación del KLM sigue siendo una de las más conmovedoras de la historia de la aviación.
En ella aparecen sonriendo, ajenos a lo que está a punto de ocurrir.
No hay miedo.
No hay tensión.
Solo un grupo de profesionales preparándose para una jornada de trabajo que parecía igual a cualquier otra.
Quizá por eso esa fotografía sigue emocionando casi cincuenta años después.
Porque nos recuerda una verdad tan sencilla como difícil de aceptar: nadie sabe cuándo una imagen cotidiana acabará convirtiéndose, sin que sus protagonistas lo sospechen, en el último recuerdo de toda una vida.

My cousin had this with Booking.com to check in the tickets 2 days before the flight. Found out that most likely the #KLM flight had been cancelled, but Booking hadn't notified. So urgent action required.
As it happens Booking.com does everything, EVERYTHING, to keep you away from speaking a real human for support. Going from online #AI chat to a #LLM on the phone. "Do you want to speak to support? Please press 2" --> reconnects to another AI. This took hours and hours.
In the end my cousin got KLM directly on the line and they re-booked the flight with "Yeah, that's #Booking for ya, they are shite".
For any company out there: Giving *real* human support is an absolute unique selling point worth some extra money by the consumer.
My cousin swore never to use Booking ever again. I came to that conclusion the previous year on similar shebang.
