Axios reports that AIPAC is considering a major spending campaign to support Republican Michigan Senate nominee Mike Rogers and defeat Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed, after the pro-Israel group spent more than $30 million trying to stop El-Sayed in the Democratic primary.
The Forward also reports that Rogers’ allies have asked AIPAC not to publicly support his campaign, fearing that the group's involvement could backfire among Michigan voters. El-Sayed has been a vocal critic of Israel's genocide in Gaza and AIPAC's influence in U.S. politics.

AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) has become toxic in US elections because of the govt of Israel's actions in Gaza and the West Bank.
Good.
However, the GOP still wants AIPAC to give them money. They just want AIPAC to hide that they are giving Republican nominees money.

The pro-Israel lobby AIPAC has fallen so far that even Mike Rogers, a staunchly pro-Israel Republican Senate candidate in Michigan, has asked it not to campaign for him, fearing its backing would cost him votes, according to Axios.
AIPAC spent more than 30 million dollars trying to defeat Israel critic Abdul El-Sayed in the Democratic primary and lost, and El-Sayed used its spending against his opponent to win.
It is the latest sign that AIPAC's endorsement has become a liability, after the victories of El-Sayed, Zohran Mamdani in New York, and an AIPAC-opposed candidate in California this week.
