I was a disillusioned "Republican" when I got into politics as a Ross Perot supporter in 1992.I believed all the warnings of what would happen if Bill Clinton were elected, only to see him create a record economy & balance the budget all while being hunted by the #GOP.
I was now a #Democrat.
But it took George #Dubya Bush to turn me into a Liberal.
I'm hoping #DisasterDon's epic failures will create a new generation of #Democrats.

If you are not progressive left — which is the only way we save this country — I don’t want to hear from you anymore.
I will vote progressively or not at all. It is not up for debate or discussion.
I will not support pedophile Nazis or their sympathizers or collaborators. Unity is not more important than accountability and change.
Unity without accountability is just a hostage situation. We’ve spent decades watching conservatives move the goalposts and moderates tell us to be grateful for the new, worse 'normal.' Stop calling it a compromise when the only thing being sacrificed is progress. I’m voting for systemic change, not for a seat on a bus that only travels right.
I’m done accepting 'unity' as a substitute for change. The current cycle is predictable and toxic: conservatives break the system, and moderates ask us to 'compromise' by accepting the damage as the new baseline. True compromise requires a move toward progress, not just a slower crawl toward the right. I refuse to fall in line with a system that demands my silence while it protects the very people who should be held accountable.
If my unwillingness to continue to capitulate to that nonsense any longer makes you feel afraid, then be afraid, and do something about it.

Our shitstain of a #mayor tried to stop a #voter-approved project on a major pair of one-way streets because it took them from four lanes to three. That space was reallocated to trees on both sides, better #busStops, and a #bikeLane that was separated from traffic.
Before he was mayor, he represented me in #state #government. He ran as a #Democrat — and he's sooo awful that the local #Dems censured him. I screened him for that race, and our organization endorsed a real Democrat.

Rutherford County, #Tennessee has been in the news for its ‘lead’ in the #MAGA cult’s national #BookBanning race.
The chief protagonist in the Board of #Education is #CalebTidwell. Sadly, he was not up for re-election this year. But a fellow #Republican who resisted some of his #BookBan requests was. A #MAGA cult member challenged her and was arrested for stealing political signs during early voting.
