I wish I could do that, but unfortunately, in good, environmentally and socially responsible California, that would be illegal. Only the utility companies may send electricity across property lines.

As I was writing it, I couldn't help but think that the series had opportunity written all over it!

After that, I began thinking that it's also true that some people won't be able to achieve those opportunities because some unwanted barriers get in the way.

And that led me to the idea that for some, life is a series of opportunities interrupted by momentary setbacks!

And then I realized that many of my daily posts lately have become far too long, and so I need to shorten the message!

We’re happy to share that we successfully wrapped up the IDAHO project at #OAT25 with a presentation of the final findings from our mixed-method study!

We found that researchers with weak institutional ties do experience affiliation-specific #barriers. To address this, we derive five recommendations for academic publishers to mitigate these obstacles and make #OA publishing more diverse and equitable.
