She got an auto-reply, and then nothing.

The Major Richard Star Act would end an offset that takes part of the retirement pay of roughly 54,000 veterans medically retired for combat injuries. Common Defense calls that offset the wounded veteran tax.
In the Senate the bill is bundled into a package funded by changes to tinnitus and sleep apnea ratings, which the VFW, DAV and IAVA have all come out against. The petition asks Congress to pass the Star Act on its own.
