I’ve been spending a lot of time with the more #electronic #synthesizer - heavy Sam Prekop albums of late, starting with Open Close, then The Sparrow, and now this.

I’m a huge admirer of Prekop’s musical talents; first with The Sea And Cake and Shrimp Boat, but particularly of the wide breadth of music he’s made as a solo artist.

The self-titled first solo album is one of my all time favorite albums period. A jazzy, intimate #indie pop masterpiece.
From there, he has done nothing but grow record to record, pushing the boundaries out a little further each time.

Since Old Punch Card, he has slowly mastered his synthesizers, making beautiful, lush, #ambient sounding music.

Comma is rhythmically sophisticated, but still very comfortable and accessible sounding, with NO vocals to be found.
Beautiful music.
