New toy. Also happens to be the cheapest hardware I could find which supports MPE (Midi Polyphonic Expression). That's what swung it for me, when I was resisting buying on eBay.
Built-in midi support too. Hopefully I can plug Resonance straight into it and start playing, if implementing MPE goes well it might sneak into the v1 release.

Regarding that undervoltage thing, to keep the power solid and inside the case I came up with this idea...
I trust the 5V Regulator and have up to 4000mA available on the 5V rail of the case as none of my #eurorack Modules uses that source.

My background is in #audiorecording and #electronics . I have always wanted to design my own #eurorack modules but never actually did it to completion. I feel that now is the time. I think I'll start with a basic distortion/fuzz/overdrive and see where this goes. Only problem is I have so many interests I am so easily pulled in other directions. This time I plan on staying focused. ... Hopefully

new #chompi #synth track for the likely-never-to-be-released videogame just add meat: the chill shop. here our adventurers can buy items to make themselves look cooler.
side note: i need to figure out where all that noise on the line is coming from. pretty sure it's somewhere early in the eurorack setup. there are so many dang hops in the chain, so lots of possible entry points.

My #chompi arrived yesterday, and it is **absolutely delightful**.
Ops & workflow just makes sense, which makes it such a neat little tool for experimentation/ideation. Build quality is over 9000; it FEELS like a solid, reliable tool to jam on. Form factor is nice and portable (rechargeable battery!) - I could see me taking this on trips. And it's super cute, too.

I got some bday cash and stumbled upon a 4ms Dual Looping Delay module that was 25% off US$400+ and all it ended up costing me was slightly over $100.
And it just so happens I've been a little obsessed with exploring Karplus-Strong and I don't have enough delays to do it... until now!
"But it's 20hp, Matt". Yes I realize I have some large real estate to relocate for this. But honestly since the 0-CTRL entered the room, the Pressure Points has been struggling to stay relevant. It also hasn't been working very reliably lately. The 4ms DLD fits great next to the other crazy utility and noise magic I have going on in that case. -

CW: Eurorack
Grabbed a few modules out of the big case for some sonic exploration through limitation. The biggest limitation here is the depth of this case lol. I like the small case but I need something deeper for most of my modules. Originally this case was for something else, but I haven't made enough time for it. I might repurpose my current control skiff as something smaller I can use my deeper modules with, but still be portable.
