Back in the late 60s and early 70s, we listened to "progressive rock" (and enjoyed it immensely).
It was only when our children and grandchildren grew into it that it gained the rather ugly abbreviation, "prog".
Just sayin' ;)
Not forgetting its close cousin, #JazzRock. 😀
