Samples, Presets, MIDI-Grooves – Illements ist eine Sample-Plattform mit Schwerpunkt auf elektronische Musikgenres, kuratiert von bekannten Producern. Ob sich der Dienst gegen Splice, Mugent und Co. behaupten kann, habe ich im Langzeit-Test herausgefunden.
Vor gut zwei Jahren bin ich das erste Mal auf Illements gestoßen. Damals war das Projekt noch im Anfangsstadium und bot kaum Inhalte. Ein Jahr später habe ich dann nochmal einen Blick auf die Website geworfen und anschließend darüber berichtet. Zum damaligen Zeitpunkt gab es laut Hersteller bereits mehr als 30.000 Sounds zu entdecken, die in Form von One-Shot-Samples, Loops, Presets und MIDI-Grooves zur Auswahl standen.
Für die Nutzenden stellt sich selbstverständlich immer die Frage, wie regelmäßig neue Inhalte erscheinen. Und natürlich, ob es Vorteile gegenüber dem Platzhirsch in diesem Bereich, Splice, gibt. Um das herauszufinden, habe ich Illements über fast ein Jahr genutzt und teile in diesem Langzeit-Test meine Eindrücke.
