Quién no recuerda el rollazo de lo último de Demi explorando estos sones y su escaso desempeño en listas. Veremos con Miley, aunque dentro de su set para los conciertos debería estar siempre para subir la presión. En directo ha de molar el doble.

El punto sintético de sintetizador mola, aunque sin destacar nada lo hace y tiene, excepto quizá la buena comunión entre el puente y el estribillo, una conjunción pop mucho más complicada de lograr de lo que pueda parecer. Un estribillazo que te levanta de la silla aunque repita que ya la juventud no baila. ¡Magia!

The kids don't wanna dance (luego pregunta Don't you want to dance?) hace el efecto opuesto y nos yergue y nos pone a canturrear.

Bass cumple sobradamente, y, repito, dentro de su selección para los directos debe/debería ganar enteros, aunque cabe desear que hubiera tenido algo de industrial o de technazo centroeuropeo. Riesgo, Miley, tú sabes de lo que hablo.

Como decía la Carlota XCX, supongo que siempre nos quedará el remix, o descubrir el disco al completo.

Manic Pop Thrill is the only album of theirs I’m SUPER passionate about and care to own, and I finally got one today.

Jagged, nervous, guitar driven #80s power pop of the highest order.
It’s abrasive, but very catchy.
A level of awesomeness that was never matched by any of those subsequent albums.

One of the most overlooked classic albums of any genre.

If you don’t know it, or you like The Undertones, spend some time with it.
You’ll like it as much if not MORE than anything that band did.
