'Cloddiau', or course, is the plural form of 'clawdd'. So they are not different words for a wall.

"Kurdish-language teacher Adel al-Sayed, from Qamishli in Hasakah province, told The New Arab that students he had spoken to preferred all school subjects to be taught in Kurdish, while having no objection to learning other languages, including Arabic.
He said some students who had spent 12 years studying in Kurdish and were preparing to enter university could be particularly affected because they did not speak Arabic fluently. He added that they had welcomed Abdi’s call to continue attending Kurdish-language schools.
Teacher Bahar Bublani, also from Qamishli, said schools across northeastern Syria and the rest of the country began the academic year on 6 September, but classes were suspended at several schools in the Jazira region that use Kurdish as their language of instruction."
