I wonder why they did not copy the German design. Was the cost of production a factor?

SETI-lautapeli pääsi pitkästä aikaa pöydälle. Pelilaatikko lupaa pelin kestoksi 40 min/pelaaja, mutta olemme vielä kaukana siitä. Nyt meni kahdelta pelaajalta 4 tuntia ja 40 minuuttia!

Pidimme välissä ruokatauon – onneksi oli toinen pöytä, jonka ääressä syödä. Tämä peli vaatii kohtalaisen kokoisen pöydän jotta se mahtuu edes esille. Mutta hienohan se on, sekä visuaalisesti että pelinä.

Vieläkään ei mennyt 100-prosenttisesti sääntöjen mukaan. Unohdimme pelin alkupuolella ottaa tuotantoon sujautettujen korttien omat tuotannot pikapalkintoina, ja yksi neutraali virstanpylväs jäi huomioimatta. Pääsimme silti molemmat noin 150 pisteeseen, eli pärjäsimme kai ihan hyvin.

Opin (taas?), että ei kannata sohia teleskoopilla joka suuntaan, vaan suunnata panokset rajatummalle alueelle. Nelinpelissä tämäkin on tietysti erilaista, ja ne tähtisektorit täyttyvät helpommin.

Starting off very post hardcory in the early 90s embracing a bit of nu metal and "alternative metal" (I hate this term) and then adding some grunge and weirdness later on while never really abandoning their roots. You can always tell that it's Helmet. And they don't have a single bad album.

And on my way to the office I listened to the last Helmet album called Left, and I don't know what to do with it.

The start gives me weird 2000s hard rock and punk rock vibes and then it blends in some modern grunge. All of this sounds ok, but this was the first time listening to a Helmet album felt like a chore.

Monochrome definitely was a bit of a return to the past. It brings back aggression and some rawness from the first 2 albums. But there are also parts from later albums, so overall it's a good mix.
