Their caucus became too whipped under Horgan & that's continued under Eby - who was groomed by the former neoliberal in charge of BC policies.*
Grand Chief Stewart Phillip of the Union of B.C. Indian Chiefs says the NDP has a “colossal” leadership problem, and if it doesn’t move on from Premier David Eby, the party could be doomed for decades. “I think the problem is Premier Eby,” he said at a Friday morning news conference in Vancouver held by Indigenous leaders opposed to a proposed suspension of parts of the Declaration on the Rights of #IndigenousPeoples Act (DRIPA).
Phillip spoke alongside the #FirstNations Leadership Council, which is made up of members of the B.C. Assembly of First Nations, the First Nations Summit and the Union of B.C. Indian Chiefs. The groups held a joint news conference in Vancouver on Friday (April 10), slamming the B.C. NDP government’s DRIPA suspension plan, a move the council had called a “unilateral betrayal” on Thursday. #DRIPA is a 2019 B.C. law that formally commits the province to aligning its laws with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples ( #UNDRIP ), which affirms the right to #SelfDetermination for #Indigenous peoples worldwide.

This gathering is an invitation to come together: to read poetry aloud, to hear from #Iranian voices, to sit with grief and beauty together rather than alone.
We will work with #political and #moral vocabulary shaped by Iranian thinkers such as Ali Shariati, who wrote against domination, spiritual emptiness, and the violence of imposed power.

Last time Luke & I saw each other was 2022 -> we were chasing Justin Trudeau around BC Leg, trapped BC MLAs inside; they had to leave their cars & be snuck into chauffered cars through side doors. Then, Trudeau's private driver called cops on me - for standing 10 feet away, saying absolutely nothing & just mean glaring at her 🤣
Cops told her to just move the vehicle because I broke no laws by just glaring.Horgan & Trudeau had to move their meeting room 3 times that evening 😅 Every time we found the room they were in, we gathered outside & by doors - making a ton of noise. They kept running from one meeting room to another, like cockroaches when light is shined upon them. It was pretty hilarious how much cops they sent to try to get us to stop making noise & chasing dirty politicians inside. Absolutely ridiculous how terrified politicians are when citizens demand public transparency, public accountability & to stop being colonial capitalist wankerbutternoodles.

Part of my thread that's coming later this week will also discuss how being treated like shit/being disbelieved here (after getting swatted by a pathological liar who owns a huge Canadian instance, with a lot of ignorant supporters who seem unaware or don't care that their guy swatted me) - severely triggered my PTSD on being disbelieved when I tried reporting being SAed as a teen. I was bullied & ostracized for trying to report SA. People believed the rapist & not me. It brought up the same angry, disappointed & people are fucked feelings.
I had almost left Mastodon completely, due to that.The Epstein Files triggered both of those hella horrible life memories, again. I'd never been swatted before Chad Ohman chose to send that racial violence to my home, shortly after my Dad died. That night was full of unnecessary police traumas too. I'm sick of people pretending to care & I find out they don't, when shit hits the fan.
I don't need fake support. I don't need cowardly folks. That shit ends up hurting me in the long run. I don't need any fucking devil's advocates either. Go hang out with Satan.

I'll talk about my feelings about how most folks are socially conditioned to quickly judge loud, angry POC women but not conditioned to understand why a lot of us are done with being mistreated/disbelieved/treated lesser than because we don't stay calm/polite when we experience ongoing abuses & rarely are supported during our worst experiences. Most folks (fellow POC are included) are socially conditioned to refrain from judging the polite in public white person, who abuses their white privilege & stays calm, after being shady & abusive.All of this shitass, social programming is fucking ass backwards. It sets up a perpetual system of putting polite talking, calm, perpetrators, over not polite talking, not calm, victims.

On the site of one of the worst in Canada - #Namgis territory, #AlertBay. It was called St. Michael's Indian Residential School. It was demolished in 2015. #Umista Cultural Center sits on the old site. #Indigenous peoples have reclaimed their land there & are trying to heal from colonial abuses.We have racists in #Canada who are currently dishonouring the victims of residential schools by denying survivors' histories & saying mass graves are a lie. I have to have a serious talk with one of my Metis friends on how she needs to do a lot more decolonization work. It's due to her reaction to my annual Earth Day call for #Indigenous #LandBack. She's still very colonial indoctrinated. Her response to any landback statements is: "Every earthling needs earth and land 🌎 happy earth day."
If you still have a #colonial #mindset like this - it tells me that you need a ton more #decolonization work. Landback isn't about making sure ONLY Indigenous peoples have lands. It's about recognizing colonial land theft & the ongoing colonial genocide of Indigenous peoples by colonial capitalists. It's about respect & genuine reconciliation for Indigenous peoples. It is literally the least we can do as settlers on stolen Indigenous lands.

About Murder by Decree
Murder by Decree is an #uncensored #record of the planned #extermination of #IndigenousChildren in #Canada’s murderous Indian #ResidentialSchools. It is issued as a corrective #CounterReport to the miscarriage of #justice by Church and State known as the “Truth and Reconciliation Commission” #TRC. Based on eyewitness #testimonies and #archival #documentation deliberately suppressed or ignored by the TRC, Murder by Decree proves that the #genocide of #IndigenousPeople began as a religion-led campaign and continues to be a deliberate governmental policy in Canada. This Counter Report reveals these startling facts: – Over half of Indian residential school children began dying the very first year these church-run facilities were opened – This huge mortality rate continued unabated for over a half century because of deliberate practices of germ warfare according to a prescribed monthly “death quota” – Evidence of these crimes and their intentional nature has been continually destroyed by the RCMP and the #Catholic, #Anglican and #UnitedChurch since at least 1960 – The same genocide continues today, is aimed at indigenous women and children, and is driven by foreign corporate interests hungry for #NativeLands and resources Murder by Decree is issued by The International Tribunal for the Disappeared of Canada (ITDC), an international #coalition of #jurists and #HumanRights groups. The ITDC was formed in December, 2015 to investigate the disappearance of people in Canada, prosecute those responsible and prevent a further #whitewash by Canada of its #CrimesAgainstHumanity.
