Ableism Enables All Forms of Inequity and Hampers All Liberation Efforts. Ableism has been used for generations to degrade, oppress, control and disappear disabled and nondisabled people alike.
In this engaging interview, Talila A. Lewis argues that ableism has deep implications for every other marginalized identity. In short, ableism, according to Lewis, is at the root of other powerful hegemonic sites — from race and class to colonialism and nationality. In this way, they uncover the ways in which ableism insidiously operates across space and time. As an abolitionist community lawyer, educator and organizer, Lewis has focused on abolishing the medical-carceral-industrial complex and highlighting the inextricable links between ableism, racism, classism, and all other forms of oppression and violence.

IMO Amnesty International is perpetrating discrimination of the users of Twibright Links lightweight web browser not equipped with JavaScript and IMO Amnesty International are hypocrites: they pose as if fighting for human rights, but they themselves IMO perpetrate discrimination and censorship and Amnesty International IMO violates the basic human right to receive information.
I recommend:
1) Don't send Amnesty International any donations.
2) Tell other people about the behaviour of Amnesty International.
3) Boycott Amnesty International.Their website consists of a grid of pictures and text. You don't need JavaScript to display that and even if you did, lack of JavaScript would just mean reduced functionality, not blocking of whole website.
This may IMO impact marginalized individuals (people living in poverty, people in developing countries, refugees, dissidents) who cannot afford to buy a powerful device with enough RAM (cf. recent RAM price crisis) to run a resource hungry web browser with JavaScript and exacerbate the digital divide.
IMO Amnesty International is joining the camp of perpetrators of digitalitarian digitatorship, where citizens are required to submit to an ever increasing amount of surveillance and tracking and required to submit to an extortion to purchase ever more expensive electronic devices.

The thing is that growth of #liberal #democracy implies the hitherto #oppressed (e.g. #women, #poor, #marginalized, etc.) became better off and the ones at the top (i.e. #men from dominant #tribes) started really hating that. They subverted democracy to gain more #money (low #taxes) and #power to turn back time (i.e. #MAGA) They use both money and power to increase #tribalism which weakens #liberal #democracy that in turn weakens #economic #growth - get it?

Not a single political party in BC cares about #CovidSafety. All of them have opted to go along with #eugenics #PublicHealth policies. Well that lasted a *loooooong* time. For context, I'm blind and use a screen reader on my phone. Tried to make a #Feeld #dating profile. I get to the “This is your space to be unfiltered” screen... and I can't tell if I'm checking any of the boxes. I could troubleshoot this into the ground and find some fuck ass workaround but I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO! And I have absolutely no one in my irl life who I'd ask to help me fill this out, and again, I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO THAT. This should be #accessible to #blind people and #ScreenReader users. #Disabled people date, have sex, and live all over the spectrum of lifestyles just like everyone else. Being disabled by places meant for people who are already #marginalized really sucks. And worst of all, I can't find a way to contact Feeld about this. We want the non-rich to have a higher quality of life for a lower cost of living.
That's basically it. That's what the Left is for. It's primarily an economic philosophy. That's the "Agenda." Scary, right?Why do we defend the #marginalized? Because, we have #empathy. During the event when I tried to bring "awareness" to systemic issues that fuel suicidality to a specialist on their panel they went completely out of their way to silence me and at least one other person who was trying to center #marginalized people and the #oppression that keeps us in dire suffering that is so heavy it leads to #suicidality
The questions were #accountability to an org claiming to care, claiming action

Some #security / #infosec people really annoy me.
#Marginalized and #vulnerable groups use what is actually available, when they can't use what should be available, but isn't. It isn't available because the majority failed to provide, enforce, or protect it, due to privilege, ignorance, or malevolence.
Pointing to what should be available, and chastising people for clinging to what is actually available, however imperfect that may be, does not make sense. It's like reprimanding those persecuted during the Third Reich for hiding in basements and attics, despite basement window curtains and attic doors being no real impediments for the Gestapo, in your "opinion".
Nobody needs your lecturing on how curtains and doors allegedly "give a false sense of security". Such false sense of security does not exist, people do not feel safe at all, precisely because they are aware of the deficiencies.
Nobody welcomes your sarcasm ridiculing curtains and doors, and your smart-alecky advocacy of having them removed, because they don't "guarantee" protection "anyway". If you have to offer anything that actually guarantees protection, to everybody in need of it: just do so. Until you've made it available, just shut up, and leave the curtains and doors alone.
Also, a historical note on the Third Reich: people in basements did not only hide there. They planned, organized and executed resistance. Armed with weapons, and with culture. They were able to operate under an depressing amount of ambiguity, danger and uncertainty that you couldn't stand for a day.
