I'm starting to think that fascists maybe aren't the brightest sparks.

OH MY LORD
We've got a new Bayeux tapestry and we're gonna need a thread for this one.
-
The people of Clacton may not come through, but Farage will still have had to run against a bin. And the bin will still have received a sizeable chunk of the vote.

For the first time in over a year, current polling is suggesting that Labour would be the largest party if an election were to be held today. But they would still be some way away from an overall majority.
The Burnham Bounce is a good start for Labour, but they're going to need much more.
-
The results of the Greater #Manchester Mayoral election within each borough were published overnight.
Labour's Bev Craig came top of the poll in every borough. Reform's Sian Astley came second in every borough except the City of Manchester (Greens came second) and Trafford (Conservatives came second).
-
Labour's Bev Craig is the new Mayor of Greater #Manchester.
She finished just short of the 50% needed to win outright on the first round. It was a considerable drop from Andy Burnham's results in each of the previous three elections.
Waiting for the borough-level results.
-
We don't have the result of the first round of the Greater #Manchester Mayoral election, but we do know that it will go to a second round between Reform's Sian Astley and Labour's Bev Craig.
-
We're still waiting for the first declaration in #Manchester.
Turnout was just above 25%, which is the lowest since the post was created, and seven points down from the 2024 election.
-
Counting is under way across #Manchester, as we wait to find out who will succeed Andy Burnham as the region's mayor.
We're expecting the first boroughs to declare this afternoon, with the overall result either late this afternoon or early this evening.
-
The next Mayor of Greater #Manchester has been decided.
Tomorrow, we will find out what that decision is.
-
Polls have opened in the #Manchester mayoral by-election.
The by-election was automatically triggered when Andy Burnham was elected to the House of Commons.
Polls close at 10pm, and votes will be counted tomorrow.

I have no doubt general Jewish attacks are happening, but this report does nothing to separate both the internal and external fight of Jewish and others against genocadial Zionism - Israel is a terrorist state

Also, is beginning to look like "you can depend on the British to choose the right Prime Minister when they have exhausted every other possibility."

It’s official. Five PMs in four years. Let’s hope it’s five times lucky. #UKPoli

A record 34 candidates are standing in the #Clacton by-election.
Only six have an address in the constituency of Clacton or the district of Tendring.
And the Monster Raving Loony Party is standing three candidates.
This is not a Longest Ballot protest, but it is a clear statement.

Andy Burnham is now officially the Leader of the Labour Party.
He will be formally appointed as Prime Minister on Monday.

"Who doesn't want diarrhea lettuce and needless war?"
Even in the US a lot of people aren't going to CPAC any more. No wonder nobody showed up to "CPAC Great Britain."
-
IT DOESN'T STOP GETTING BETTER! 🤣
Chancellor Rachel Reeves has fulfilled the technicality that allows the by-election to happen, apparently for comedy value.
-
Nigel Farage resigned to force a by-election in a desparate attempt to distract from corruption investigations he should lose (given he's been caught hiding multi-million pound bribes from crypto billionaires and more).
No other party will run in his distraction. Count Binface will.

That is an impressive act of self-immolation and -humiliation out of the Farage camp.
Also, this is a brilliant opportunity for Count Binface to do something incredibly, earth-shatteringly funny.
