Too much solar....
Its like a gas station that follows you around town offering to fill you some more with free gas.
Its a solar panel, and its making so.much free power its just pouring out into the ground unused, making a nice day.
I guess Australia couldn't get new used EV batteries packed into a neighbourhood grid any sooner.
So much power its pouring onto the ground, like sunlight in a lazy country that hasn't built solar yet.

RE: https://fosstodon.org/@AkaSci/117294496775217167
Not like I needed another reason not to fly to or even through the USA, but here is one. What could go wrong...
-
Hey, Canadians!
This US city arranged to play the Canadian Anthem before a sporting event.
No biggie right?
There was no Canadian team playing. ... Wait what..
Yeah thats right.
In fact there ARE NO Canadian teams in the sport.
Why?
To express love to Canada, "finest people I know"
US Fans sang LOUDLY.
Watch this wonderful British news story.

Why does Alberta have so many different “No” campaigns? Why is there no one big group opposing the referendum questions? I get the answers from political strategist Stephen Carter of Alberta’s Voice, poli sci prof Jared Wesley of Lead, Not Leave, and human rights lawyer Avnish Nanda of Our Alberta Advantage. An urgent must-listen of a podcast for #cdnpoli and #abpoli folks, as we go behind the scenes of the final push. https://open.spotify.com/episode/4hSEeUhFqqgpKaFO6ANYe7?si=bP3gmY6vSYG3Pnoc8G_kqg&utm_source=copy-link #ableg #notothenine #Alberta #Canada

They brand it a "Democracy Shield." Adorable. 🛡️ It's a declaration of WAR. ⚔️
Christine Anderson might be the last politician at that EU cult session who still has a working brain. 🧠
Your Orwellian word salad fools exactly 0 people. That "defence"? An attack. That "freedom"? Totalitarian control. You're building a weapon aimed at the voters you were elected to protect. 🎯

Just gonna sat it's funny the number of people that *really* hate #AI that are somehow super supportive of the new suite of #MarkCarney #DataCentres he's fast-tracking.
By 'funny' I actually mean something else #cdnpoli

Carney's European speech.
Some reactions:
"Goethe understood that ideals must be fought for."
Okay...
*pulls out brass knuckles*
"Sovereignty goes beyond the ability to be able to feed, fuel, and defend ourselves."
It's gone beyond me. I can't afford groceries. Give me low cost public grocery stores now!
"We believe that our prosperity grows when it's shared."
Pfft! You give millions to evil companies like Palantir. Big Oil gets oodles of cash. A $280 billion frenzy and some airports were thrown toward the richest CEOs on the planet. WHERE IS MY SHARE?

Well, I fired up CPAC on my browser and watched Carney give his European speech:
A lot of highfalutin stuff. Reminiscent of the Davos speech. But, well, the sequel is always less special.
I do note that, similar to the Davos speech, he included an escape clause.
In the Davos speech, it was:
"We actively take on the world as it is, not wait around for a world we wish to be."
So, whenever he was asked why he was not speaking against breaches of international law (IE, US invasion on Venezuela or Iran) as the Davos speech suggested he would, he'd reply something like:
"But you're forgetting, I said, 'we take on the world as it is', rather than what 'we wish it to be'".
I remember thinking, yikes, he just put three signs back in the window.
And now, I see he's got the following "emergency out" line:
"just as dominance is the arrogance of the hegemon, perfection is the enemy of the good."
I can hear him now if he's similarly confronted:
"You're forgetting, I said, 'perfection is the enemy of the good'".
I've seen some Libs on here absolutely wet themselves with glee over this line. Weird.
