Using public money, collected from Canadians, to support an industry that is predominantly owned by foreign investors (thus most of the profits generated leave the country) while using imported materials (even more money leaving the country) is not what I would consider having our #ElbowsUp
It's one thing to import materials while you build up you own capacity; for example buying solar panels and grid level batteries from China while we build publicly owned manufacturing facilities in Canada (publicly owned so that long term profits become something all Canadians benefit from).
It's a completely different thing to pillage your own nation for the benefit of another, leaving future generations to deal with the damage.
