🚨 I wanted to discuss the latest Russian attack. Over the past 24 hours, Russia struck a civilian train right near the Polish border—one of many examples increasing in frequency daily.
🇺🇸🇺🇦 For those who don't follow me, in 2022 I was on the Polish border in Przemyśl supporting the first wave of displaced Ukrainians, and in 2023 I went into Ukraine itself. I've taken the trains from Kyiv to Warsaw many times, along with buses to cross the border or travel inside Ukraine to Lviv, Odesa, Kherson, Kharkiv, and Kyiv. I've had my own close calls along the way, but that's not what this post is about—it's about the people living this every single day. I have Ukrainian friends, defenders, and fellow volunteers still there right now.

First in history - a battle of sea unmanned vessels.
A Ukrainian Sargan destroyed a Russian naval drone.
Ukrainian Navy conducted this successful operation in the Black Sea together with Ukrainian Defense Intelligence.
The target was detected by units of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine. The Ukrainian Navy’s Sargan 3000 unmanned surface vessel, equipped with a 12.7 mm RWS Protector remote weapon station, successfully destroyed it.

When a crypto billionaire like Christopher #Harborne can gift £5M to a man like #Farage clearly something must be done. Clearly people like Harborne are interested in manipulating the system for their own ends. The Rycroft review urged the Govt 'if it wishes to restore confidence in the political process .. it must consider spending limits'.

24. Februar – 4 Jahre Krieg in der Ukraine 🇺🇦
Heute jährt sich der Beginn des völkerrechtswidrigen Angriffs Russlands auf die Ukraine zum vierten Mal.
Seit dem 24.02.2022 verteidigt die Ukraine nicht nur ihr eigenes Staatsgebiet, sondern auch gemeinsame europäische Werte: Freiheit, Demokratie, Rechtsstaatlichkeit und Menschenwürde.
Als paneuropäische Partei stehen wir klar an der Seite der Ukraine.
Für uns ist klar:
💜 Frieden gibt es nicht durch Wegsehen, sondern durch konsequente Unterstützung.
💜 Unsere Sicherheit in Europa muss gemeinsam gedacht werden.
💜 Die Ukraine gehört zur europäischen Familie.Auch Volt Sachsen setzen sich kontinuierlich für Solidarität mit der Ukraine ein – sei es durch politische Initiativen, Informationsarbeit oder die Unterstützung hier vor Ort.
Europa endet nicht an Landesgrenzen – unsere Verantwortung auch nicht.
Vier Jahre Krieg bedeuten unermessliches Leid. Millionen Menschen sind auf der Flucht, Städte wurden zerstört, Familien auseinandergerissen. Angriffe auf Infrastruktur lassen Mensch und Tier frieren. Und doch zeigt die Ukraine jeden Tag: Mut, Widerstandskraft und den unerschütterlichen Willen zur Freiheit.

#Zelensky has been keen to show he is fully committed to peace, amenable & willing to make compromises. In recent days, he also has appeared at times to be trying to call the Kremlin’s bluff.
He told reporters Tuesday that he was willing to pull Ukrainian troops back from areas of the #Donbas region still under Kyiv’s control & turn those areas into a #DMZ — as long as #Russia withdraws its forces from an equivalent area of land.
