Summer #Ticks Took Over
Conventional wisdom about ticks, is lagging fast-changing reality. 2004-2016, reported cases of #tick-borne diseases in US doubled. Four out of five were #Lyme — nearly half a million #Americans are treated for it each year — but seven tick-borne maladies not previously reported in #UnitedStates also made their debuts. Ticks now account for 4 out of 5 vector-borne — which is to say, bug-delivered — illnesses in the country.

If you're wondering, this is how a public intellectual creates a moral excuse for racial violence against a minority.
Take something that is sometimes (or even often) true for an individual, apply it to the entire group, then blame that group for the violence they will eventually receive.
Cops, rightwingers, and nazis do this against black Americans with crime and Arab or Muslim Americans with terrorism.
Interestingly, Zionism, like terrorism, is defined and thus controlled, by the persecuting group.

I’m sharing this not because of what the headline suggests, but rather because it's important that everyone remember that roughly one out of every three American voters still support #Trump and will still vote for their local Republican candidate no matter how awful a person or candidate they may be. Longwell misses the forest for the trees. This article is an important read for anyone who thinks Trump voters can be “won”. They can not. The corruption, anti-democratic policies and goals, #fascism, misogyny, and abuse of power exerted to harm innocent people is what these #Americans WANT. They want mass deportations and more bombing of Iran, more death to people they consider disposable, more ICE, more voter suppression. They are the absolute worst people and we need to make sure no one forgets that. Forget the “grade” they give, look at their actual words. They will never be “won”.
They will praise Trump when he commits more crimes and back him still.
