There's a spot where he's asked specifically about dealing with Trump and CUSMA, which I shared with a Liberal friend due to this being a top of mind issue for them (admittedly, they won't be convinced, and oddly feel that Carney pursuing "deeper integration" into the USA is somehow still "elbows up"; but, good to plant the seeds of a different viewpoint. The Carney Delusion can't last forever, I figure).

That is part of Lewis' plan.
Writing an article attacking his plan without knowing the details of the plan is simply spreading misinformation.
To see it more outlined, look at the link below. From it, note that it says, "with government covering labor [sic] and overhead like rent".
Thus, as you've inadvertently pointed out, the public option, run in a way that both Lewis proposes and the way that U.S. miliary commissaries successfully deliver, CAN provide a fix to Canada's food affordability crisis.
