As a #Canadian, my friends and I frequently refer to #Carney as a "wartime consigliere" - he's the right guy to help us fend off the US. And in that he's doing a bang up job. And as much as it pains my progressive frosted side, he's doing everything else for our economy as per a Masterclass in Canada For Business 101.
Unfortunately, he's completely shitting the bed on everything else. Great that we're sending more aid to Ukraine, but we're strangely silent/complicit on Isreal eradicating Palestinians and US arms.
You would think that having literally half of our country on #fire right now would be a whole hearted call to mobilize against #climatechange like when Britain called in 1914, and an earnest attempt at Paris targets. But no, let's continue to fellate our fossil fuel interests and the province of #Alberta (which IS a fossil fuel interest). -
