I wonder why none of you other infosec fools speak out about the tyranny in this troubled country?
Look at how much power this Thiel character has.
It's the same with the lesser billionaire Marc Andreessen.
These two men's own belief systems are not much more than dog shit. Thiel is the chairman of #Palantir. That speaks for itself, right there if you happen to be knowledgeable at all about civil liberties.
I'm ashamed and frightened by the infosec community for not really taking any time to speak out about this, and for not speaking out about the electronic voting mishaps which occurred during the 2024 presidential election.
Where were you guys? (being the entire information security world within the private sector and especially NSA/Cyber Command)
Why did you digital hackers, pogues, and military code clerks leave it to an unknown covert operative named Zarnowski employed by the CIA who had to quit his job to tell the truth about the missing votes in the swing states? Mr. Zarnowski was quickly and silently forced out by everybody working in the intelligence community over groupthink and for being a man. Z also worked in CIA's department that is responsible for trying to curtail human trafficking across the world. What is one of POTUS's numerous crimes? The Donald is said to have been tangentially involved with the sex trafficking of young women, Slovenians, and maybe also young children during the 1990s.
#PeterThiel, Palantir, and #ProVandV are the rival competitors for the United States having free and fair elections in the future. Let's light Thiel's name up in lights and make him famous guys:

Wer Mitglied einer Partei ist, trägt politische Mitverantwortung für das, was diese Partei aus Macht macht. Nicht jede Grüne ist persönlich schuld an Palantir. Aber eine einfache Mitgliedschaft darf auch kein moralischer Freispruch sein. Wenn eine Partei Datenschutz verspricht, ihre Basis mit fast 92 Prozent widerspricht und die Regierung dennoch weitermacht, entsteht etwas Giftiges: Menschen lernen, dass ihre Stimme folgenlos bleibt. Genau daraus wächst Politikverdrossenheit. Wer progressives Vertrauen zurückwill, darf diesen Widerspruch nicht verwalten. Er muss ihn bekämpfen, gerade innerhalb der eigenen Partei.

An alle Grünen bundesweit: Ihr könnt den Datenschutz nicht auf Parteitagen feiern und schweigen, wenn grüne Regierungsmacht Palantir verteidigt. Ihr könnt die Basisdemokratie nicht predigen und ein Votum von fast 92 Prozent politisch verdampfen lassen. Wer jetzt schweigt, muss sich fragen lassen, welchen Wert die eigenen Grundsätze noch haben? Eine Partei verrät ihre Ideale nicht erst, wenn sie sie abschafft. Der Verrat beginnt dort, wo sie Prinzipien nur noch verteidigt, solange sie nichts kosten. Widersprecht. Kämpft. Oder hört auf, euch als Schutzmacht digitaler Grundrechte zu inszenieren.

Nein, Grün zu wählen beweist keine mangelnde Intelligenz. Es beweist höchstens eine erstaunliche Fähigkeit zur kognitiven Gymnastik: Datenschutz wichtig finden, Palantir ablehnen, innerparteiliche Demokratie loben und anschließend eine Partei wählen, deren Regierung beim entscheidenden Konflikt trotzdem weitermacht. Das Problem sitzt nicht im IQ. Es sitzt zwischen Anspruch und Konsequenz. Wer das „kleinere Übel“ oft genug entschuldigt, macht es nicht kleiner. Man trainiert lediglich die eigene Fähigkeit, das Übel nicht mehr sehen zu wollen.

Grün wählen, weil Grün das „kleinere Übel“ sei, bekommt bei Palantir beinahe religiöse Züge. Fast 92 Prozent der abstimmenden Parteibasis sagen: Stoppen! Die grüne Regierung sagt: Weitermachen! Und die treue Wählerin erklärt vermutlich beim nächsten Wahlgang wieder, nur Grün könne unsere Grundrechte retten. Das ist politische Homöopathie: Man verdünnt den eigenen Anspruch so lange, bis kein Wirkstoff mehr nachweisbar ist und glaubt trotzdem fest an die Wirkung. Das kleinere Übel ist längst nicht mehr kleiner. Es ist nur das Übel, an das man sich gewöhnt hat.

Hier darf jeder frei entscheiden – solange er anschließend gut findet, was ich ohnehin tue.“ Fast 92 Prozent der abstimmenden grünen Basis sagen: Palantir stoppen. Die Regierung macht weiter. Das ist die philosophische Komik einer Demokratie, in der Mitsprache feierlich zelebriert wird, während Macht sich vor ihrem Ergebnis elegant verbeugt – und anschließend in die entgegengesetzte Richtung marschiert.
