One of the dying acts of the UK's hated #Starmer regime was to ban Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). It was unclear whether a state entity could be banned, but in April the National Security (State Threats) Act removed doubt.
This will also allow a UK ban on the so-called Israel Defense Forces (#IDF). Starmer and Burnham will not ban the IDF. But now a future #UKgov has the power to do so.
The UK's v powerful #Israel lobby may bitterly regret this short-term win.

On balance I think I'm quite happy for British terrestrial TV channels having prominent placing on my PeerTube instance so long as they pay the appropriate fees.
These are currently just £3,000,000 per annum and are extremely good value for money, plus you get a free hat, a mixtape and some pictures of George. Win!

Countries are like companies, if you keep raising taxes/prices, then you will end up with fewer customers.
Raising taxes doesn't generate enough revenue, it will just create a demand for taxes to be raised again.

For at least a century, #LGBT people have endured conversion practices by medics. Psychiatric powers have been routinely abused, unwanted surgeries have been imposed, and wanted treatments withheld. Many trans people have been persecuted by medics.
This is v simple. NOBODY in any situation should try to alter the gender identity or sexual orientation of another person. No exceptions.
