The west sidewalk and northwest car entrance to the High Level Bridge will be closed for the next three days for emergency repairs. The east sidewalk is open but only to the southeast staircase, still no access to Saskatchewan Drive on the east side.

...Blatchford currently has 573.3mm for 2026.
That's the most in a year since 1978, and the 8th most on record.
(for the rest of the year we average another 175mm, which would put 2026 at a record-breaking ~750mm)

July 18th was our 4th 30°C High of the year. #yegwx #yeg
Historically 4 would have been plenty for us.
But recently we've had our top 3 years with 14 in 2025, 16 in 2024 & 17 in 2021. And some of those happened pretty late into August & September...

LB reminded me, it's now been 25 years since I missed seeing the one time Fugazi played my town because I didn't have the $10 or whatever the ticket cost. Biggest. Regret. Ever. At least there's a bootleg of the show though.

Not sure what took out the instance for a few minutes there, power is still on, but maybe there was something upstream with Telus that was hit.
Quite the storm tonight. Hope everyone that was out at events and festivals found shelter before it blew in!
