Excellent interview by Nima Alkhorshid with Seyed Mohammad Marandi on US and Iran. Marandi has become my primary source of news and thought on the conflict.

At 48:20 Marandi brings up a recent Lancet Journal article about Western sanctions from 1971 to 2021 have lead to the deaths of 38 million people across the world. That does not count the number of people killed by the US and Western allies in offensive wars (ongoing and neverending Imperialism led by the US).

Don't ever doubt, the US is an evil empire. We should not attempt to pretend otherwise. If you've been under the delusion that the US and those Western allies are somehow the good guys on the planet get your head out of your ass and take a look at reality.
