Well, I think we’re going to have to disagree on that because I think that the Board is captivated by the ‘job market’ figures as unemployment is deemed too high for #NeoLiberal #MonetaryPolicy (paraphrasing from Greg Jericho’s observations of the RBA). And, as I tooted before, the current economic data do not yet reflect any impact of the previous #CashRate rise.But, I guess time will tell (6 months at least by my reckoning) if the RBA made the right or wrong decision this time around.

Reading this article made me mad. Not only is it lumping every ‘old person’ into a ‘rich’ bag which is clearly inconsistent with real life stats, but the ‘richness’ of the most fortunate among them is based on home ‘equity’ they cannot cash in (because even downsizing is expensive these days) and on their superannuation balance (a compulsory scheme and every worker will eventually get there as well). I’ve a gutful of ‘experts’ drunk on #neoliberal #Kool-Aid blaming the ‘#boomers’ (I’m one of them and I’m not rich. I just have a home — which I’m still paying off) instead of focussing on the #TechBros #Corporations #Billionaires and #MultiMillionaires #Grifters #Usurers #Nepos and generally the #Rich who play the system to avoid paying their fair share of Taxes. Fed up. Fed up I tell you.

In #OMN thinking, #traditionalmedia refers to the legacy thinking of broadcast and print institutions - TV, radio, newspapers - that present themselves as neutral but are structurally embedded in the same #neoliberal, #dotcons power systems they claim to objectively report on, making them megaphones for the #deathcult status quo rather than public interest journalism.
