It was previously on the corporate deforestation list prior to the hard grassroots fight to save this area of Port Renfrew, where old growth forests were rapidly dwindling due to colonial capitalist style of short-term greedy gains & putting nature last. My friend, Jane, from Lake Cowichan, was the first senior citizen activist who was arrested in 2021, at Fairy Creek Blockades. She messaged before heading out to meet up with me at HQ camp. She told me she's never been arrested for protesting anything before but due to seeing too much ecocide still happening in her golden years - declared, 'Getting arrested for protecting Mother Nature is now on my bucket list"🌲💦 💗🦅🌲🦉🌲 Jane stayed at HQ camp for 2 nights & on her 3rd day, headed out to chain herself/walker to a tripod hardblock. Jane was arrested, along with 12 others that day, after several hours. Jane is a wonderful human being, a musician, a fibers artist, a Mother & Grandmother, who loves nature very much.

#FuckTheRCMP - they flew these #helicopters multiple times, daily, to try & intimidate us. We had Transport Canada verify that this helicopter maneuver & 3 other ones documented at other resistance camp areas was illegal & violated federal regulations but no action was taken to punish people responsible for violations.

This footage was taken before over 100 RCMP CIRG goons raided 4 different #ResistanceCamps.

Voluntary RCMP #CIRG unit was created in 2017 as a strictly corporate mercenaries unit in BC. Approved by #BCNDP government. The same government who has given them multiple budget increases - millions of #BCtaxpayers monies were used for that. Taxpayers monies were also used by #BCgovernment on attempts to criminalize environmental activists in BC courts. Some of the court cases are still ongoing.

RCMP CIRG is a fully voluntary unit & RCMP who choose to join the unit get paid more than regular RCMP goons. It's all about the extra money for these colonial greedy chumps.

Especially RCMP #CIRG - created in 2017 as a corporate mercenaries unit in BC. Approved by #BCNDP government. Same government who has given them multiple budget increases - millions of #BCtaxpayers monies were used for that. Taxpayers monies were also used by #BCgovernment on attempts to criminalize environmental activists in BC courts. Some of the court cases are still ongoing.

This week, I am voting for #BCGreens. I'd #NeverVoteConservative & after what's happened to me, my family, my BIPOC friends & my clients under #BCNDP leadership, I'd #NeverVoteNeoliberal either.

Went to D.C. and got good response from Senators to community request that F.S. stop #clearcutting the steepest slopes. Below is a local F.S. clearcut on >50% slope, which is contrary to the #Monongahela #Forest Plan. Can't see how this helps with #flooding #WorthMoreStanding
