Okay #AskFedi does anyone have any text-based beginner resources on how to get started with turning a software manual that I have as a digital file into a fully bound book by hand?
Like, I imagine I'm going to prepare the text by using a word processor to properly layout the digital file, then I'm going to print it, and then I'm going to somehow do some folding and cutting magic to wrangle the printed A4 pages into something in the proper format, and then I'm going to use some arcane magicka to properly connect the pages and create a cover.
Resources about any step in the process appreciated, e. g. layouting, zinemaking, book binding, et cetera.
I'm also going to look things up myself on the web (yay #Marginalia), but I'd like human pointers too.

UNITOM is so expensive but worth it. It's the only place I know to get quirky magazines and zines that I wouldn't find in a regular shop or bokkstore. I need to start looking around more on the local area. I go to the zine fairs but I need to find more shops that stock zines. There are some others I know of but one stopped selling zines.

zine friends: have you ever re-done a zine from your past? i have a few older zines that i look at now and think i could do better...mostly to make them easier to read...make the pictures a bit better...etc.
i'm curious to know if any of you have done this and how it came out. <3

A bit of a different post today, but it's art and I made it and I had an amazing time doing so!
I took part in a Zine workshop yesterday and I had an incredible time, it reminded me how much I LOVE collaging/scrapbooking, and how freeing it is.
I made 16 pages of fish... And I couldn't be happier with what I created 🥰
A few people already asked me to print copies of it, should I? Would you get one? Please let me know and... I might make more...
