@jd Hmmmm... That still "traps" the #videozine online. While I think online #zines are legit... I also think there's something to be said for physical-media created and distributed in small runs.

Several people have told me we were name-checked in The Onion autobiography but I don't remember seeing the actual paragraph. Kudos that they got the orthography of my name correct and managed to cram all the details without a single error. It feels somehow apropos that we are called out as minor conspirators in the Onionization of Western Civilization.

Displaying zines has always been a hassle. But how will people know that I am interested in solving Global Crisis mathematically or that I own the Prism Person? How will they know I am funny AND aware of the right kind of politics, if they don't know that I buy self-published pamphlets? A zine shelf in the bathroom tells all of those things to my guests and more. Made with no power tools and a spray paint can, just like a zine would be. Or wait that's graffiti

FINALLY finished with the second issue of my quarterly zine.
In craft squared, so far, I write a little essay about crafting/diy stuff and write up instructions for a diy project. I'm also playing around with other features as I go.
This time around, I wrote about how I'm finding ways to navigate burnout (although it turns out I'm not burnt out, I've just got medical stuff that's sucking up my energy) + diy instructions for using take out containers to make stamps + some other stuff.

I really want to put out a zine, but I really need to motivate myself to write some shit to build up material to do so. I'm thinking maybe doing a #truecrime zine that focuses on criticism of the justice systems of America and Canada and the need of reform.

@tiffillustrates Oh yeah, making zines while working is always a challenge… I try to work a lot with my own templates to make it a little easier. #zines are a really cool way to experiment and such a great hobby 💪🏻
