Worked on by 380 embroiderers from 51 countries who contributed an estimated billion and a half stitches.

I need another project like a need a hole in the head. So obviously I'm designing a new pair of cushion covers to complement my red ones that I finally finished earlier this month ( https://mastodonapp.uk/@pling/117270426850030131 ). The plan is that they'll be blue with gold knotwork, and the main design in the centre rather than as four corners. But I really should finish some more of the things I've got started first!

I’ve been browsing my way through the newer crafting books at the library and have a couple of gems. Have a short thread:
First, The Art of Embroidery Design, by Christi Johnson <https://www.hachettebookgroup.com/titles/christi-johnson/the-art-of-embroidery-design/9781635867664/>. It’s a mixture of practical advice combined with exploring methods of finding inspiration. I’m looking forward to exploring the parts I haven’t tried already. (A lot of the design parts are relevant to non-embroidered art.)
