I finished my #crossstitch project Kraken in a Bottle!
I'm not completely happy with the colours I picked, but I used what I had, which is good.
I stitched on 14 count aida, which I tea-dyed myself (with lady grey, if you're curious).

cross-stitch AF attack on ScarletSnow76! these are so much work, i can’t imagine being one of the people that ONLY does craft attacks. I am thinking about maybe doing one or two more this month tho because at my core i am a masochist. (dendenizens w/ simple ocs willing to give a random fuck their address hmu)

I've also been past a milestone for Nebamun Hunting in the Marshes (pattern by Scarlet Qunice, now sold by Paine Free Crafts). I've finished the column on the left down to the halfway point of the overall (enormous) piece, and I've just started stitching the next column!

There is somebody at work that do cross stitch with messages on them and (with permission) hangs them in the cafeteria.
My favorite this week was an ornate one with the text "I am Out Of Office and you can reach me by Waiting Until I Come Back"
The second favorite is the all-star "Well, Fuck This Shit".

I've reached and gone past a milestone for the Animals Tree of Life (pattern by Climbing Goat Designs). I've finished part 2 of the SAL (so that was Feb 2025's installment …) and moved on to part three where I've got to vertebrates, including a lamprey & a teeny tiny bit of a shark.

I've missed WIP Wednesday for a little over a month, and it's been a bit of a shit of a year so I've not had as much time for cross stitch as I'd like. However, I have got some work done on all three of my in progress pieces (and picked another 2 to do for later this year because hope springs eternal!).
This is the algorithmic temperature chart, where the pattern is an algorithm from "Beading with Algorithms" by Gwen Fisher & Roger Antonsen, and the colours for the non-grey blocks are assigned based on the day's temperature. I'm only down to 13th Feb (and haven't done the colours for that day yet).

Is anyone else playing #MylestonnManor?
I just started this week and I'd love to see your floor plan, hear about your milestones and generally geek out about it!
This is my floor plan. It's based on the house of one of my characters in the manuscript/novel I wrote (which I will maybe rewrite in a decade, or two).
Mylestönn Manor is a way to gamify working on your #crossstitch WIPs. Every room has a WIP in it and you try to defeat it by stitching. You have to roll dice, determine HP and XP and it is just absolutely wonderful.

It's still #wipwednesday in some time zones, right?
I almost finished part two of the Halloween stitch along by Tiny Modernist! It came out yesterday and it was just so easy to stitch.
This #crossstitch pattern is called Not so Scary Apothecary and I love it. I was afraid I wouldn't like all the backstitch, because I hear a lot of bad things about that. Never done it before and it turns out I really enjoy it! It does make a mess of the back though...
