Some months ago I started a new cross stitch picture. I hoped to finish it long before I move and wanted to present it finished. But I moved 3 weeks ago and nothing is done (I don't even have a kitchen).

Ordered some fabric and threads yesterday for a new cross stitch project, figuring it’ll get here when it gets here, no rush. But they send it immediately and I got a notification that it would arrive today.
That got my hopes up, so now I’m disappointed it didn’t arrive even though I didn’t expect it to be here until next week.

Nebamun continues – I'm working on the bottoms of a pair of birds at the moment. The column I'm stitching is 50 stitches wide and involves a lot of different colours in every row so progress is roughly one row or a bit less each hour.

I've finished another critter in part 3 of the Animals Tree of Life – the shark. And a pretty cool shark he is too :) You can also see the start I've made on the ray to the top right, which would've been slightly more but I miscounted early on and had to frog it and start over.

I'm past halfway on the length of this piece – I'm down to 15th February. It's looking less & less likely that I'll finish by the end of the year but there's still hope as it will speed up once I've got to 31st March as after that I only have to stitch the colours & there's no counting involved.
Pattern is generated using an algorithm from "Beading with Algorithms" by Gwen Fisher & Roger Antonsen.
