  6. This week's Hold That Thought newsletter is one of my top 10 faves, where I explore the meaning, manner and impact of craft on the brain. Just published, check it out here (and sign up so you don't miss the next one):

  7. I’m thinking of getting more involved with #craftivism. It commonly focuses on knitting or crocheting (e.g., the red resistance hats in MN), but since I can’t knit and don’t know how to crochet hats, I’m exploring other possibilities.

For ex, I’ve seen resistance-related stickers, bracelets, keychains, lanyards, painted rocks, sidewalk chalking…

Does anyone else out there participate in craftivism? If so, what are some ideas you have (or have seen from others)?

  19. Art as Resistance Is Getting Louder (And I’m Seeing It Everywhere)— Art as resistance isn’t quiet anymore — it’s stitched, yarnbombed, quilted, and shared, turning creativity into good trouble you can’t unsee. Once you start noticing craftivism, you see it everywhere.
