I attached a patchwork piece to my shirt.
(i won the auction on the piece on Ebay, i wanted the not yet assembled pieces to mend my shoe and had this flower shaped assembled quilt piece lying around).
I'm very satisfied with how nice it looks. I even got my mannequin from the attic to attach the quilt piece to the chest in a neat way.

The 80ties called and want their rocailles back. 😅 Maybe I went a little bit haywire with them - but I love sewing these Kanzashi flowers and really like the effect of the strings of glass beads. (Washed the fabric, before that I replaced the pencil drawing with a basted seam that will go later too.)

Third #embroidery project, done!
As the name states, I took a few when I did this pattern. Used different stitches, experimented here and there, went against what the pattern stated how many threads I should use, and even skipped a few embroidery details that felt unnecessary.
I took my time with this because it seemed like I could finish this embroidery in a week, intentionally delaying it at some point.

I am out stem-stitched with this one. So many stem stitches. I guess it's safe to say I know how to do the stitch now. 😂
Of course, it's still laden with errors but hey, they're all mine.
I tried to be mindful of the amount of thread I used and took some shortcuts which may not have been optimal. However, overall, I think it turned out pretty good."

And it's a wrap on my very first #embroidery project. I did a lot of mistakes. I posted a close-up photo so they can be ogled and hopefully, learned from (what not to do).
I have 3 patterns awaiting to be embroidered and I'm going to draw from a hat tomorrow what to do next. Here's to getting better at it!💪

Almost at the finish line, dusted off my artistic freedom card and used the wishbone stitch for the petals instead of plain satin stitch (they look more defined, I think) and I have no plans of re-creating that flat woven stitch from the instruction manual so I kind of bulky-ed it up. The color mix-up on the woven stitched flowers was unintentional. I already finished one of the flowers when I realized I stitched the wrong one.
I can see the finish line already.

This is my first #embroidery project and my very first #wip post.
The first pic is what it should be and the second is my work-in-progress.
I know I already messed up several times but I have to start somewhere.
I do bit by bit and color by color. I started on the right side, going to the left⬅️. I'm skipping light-colored threads because I prefer to do them last so it would not get dirty.
I learned how to do satin and contour stitch on this pattern.
Here's to the start of everything!

Il est fini! Après l'avoir commencé en huillet, il m'a accompagné dans mes déplacements, petite session de 15 minutes dans le train, dans les cafés.
Il y a des imprécisions et il faut qu'il aille chez le dentiste mais j'ai beaucoup appris et j'ai hâte d'appliquer ces connaissances à d'autres broderies. ( et d'acheter le prochain kit dragon).
