  1. I saw a post from an American that made me realise, how most have accepted the reality of #surveillance as a non-negotiable. The stench of #propaganda eminating from the phrase #freedomofspeech, especially from US Americans, folks within territory declared as the USA, or the usual #bootlickers, is nauseating. But there was a time where the phrase had a double life. It existed as a #political #marketing #slogan, as well as a #politicalphilosphy summary. Today, though, it's #speech or #survival.

  3. theguardian.com/politics/2026/. If there was ever any doubt about Tony Blair's true #political #colours, can there be now, @ChrisMayLA6, @HarriettMB, @junesim63? The question I keep asking myself is, "Why was he ever in the #LabourParty to begin with, let alone its #leader?" He wouldn't be out of place in Kemi Badenoch's #Tories.

  8. theguardian.com/money/2026/may. "The #research seeks to push back against the 'dominant #political #narrative' that #spending on #socialsecurity is 'spiralling'. Instead, it points out that official projections show spending on non-pensioner #benefits 'will remain flat, at around 5% of #GDP for the remainder of the #Parliament'." This is nothing but the truth, & is confirmed by the Office for Budget Responsibility's #statistics, @guardian.
