In 2023, I was a programmer with federal clearance, working for the US Department of Veterans Affairs, through #AccentureFederalServices , through a contractor, when I called out corruption, and became a government #whistleblower

I have been homeless since 2023, and hounded by the law, a dozen rides in the back of cop cars, usually handcuffed. Kicked out of hospitals, banks, libraries, stores, and buses. 5 arrests ( 4 under #Biden, 1 under #Trump ), police brutality, 6 nights in jail. I have slept outdoors in winters without warm clothes, in muddy orchards, in rain, on cold concrete city pavements, in sweltering heat. Denied public defense in courts, though I told judges I was homeless and food insecure. I fought in court, representing myself, while homeless. All charges dropped, since it was mere whistleblower intimidation, and I had committed no crimes.

Broken bone, body in constant pain. Assaulted in the streets. I have eaten out of garbage cans, and several times, gone hungry for 2-3 days at a time.

Moved to Tokyo to avoid persecution, though it followed me here, and I am homeless here as well, probably because the Japanese government is afraid of granting me political asylum.

"Chances are you have already heard something about who anarchists are and what they are supposed to believe. Chances are almost everything you have heard is nonsense. Many people seem to think that anarchists are proponents of violence, chaos, and destruction, that they are against all forms of order and organization, or that they are crazed nihilists who just want to blow everything up. In reality, nothing could be further from the truth. Anarchists are simply people who believe human beings are capable of behaving in a reasonable fashion without having to be forced to. Your BlueSky Feed Is Porn You Didn’t Ask For Because Your Friends Are Gooners With a Severe Porn Addiction

A common complaint I see people make on Bluesky is: why am I being served so much porn or things I am not interested in? They will incorrectly believe that the algorithm is broken. It’s not broken. You didn’t know the people you knew as well as you thought you did. Porn addiction is a thing, and porn addiction is especially common with weebs. You’re seeing deranged shit because people you follow have porn addictions and are into deranged shit. So, though you may not be consuming porn, people in your network are. That activity kicks into your feeds.

The issue I have with that is that it essentially normalizes being sex pests in a space on the Internet. That sets the expectation that it is good—attractive, even—to act like that elsewhere. That expectation alienates relationships. Bluesky creates a cultural space that offers an unrealistic, bizarre representation of social relationships, which isolates and alienates the users who stay on there consuming erotica and porn like they do.

So, user repos in Bluesky have a property for likes. Bluesky’s underlying AT Protocol stores likes as first-class structured records in each user’s AT Protocol repository. In the AT Protocol lexicon, a like is an app.bsky.feed.like record type. Unlike a simple boolean flag on a post, it is its own record with a creation timestamp and a subject field that holds a strong reference to the liked record.

That strong reference is composed of an AT-URI and a CID. The AT-URI identifies the exact record in the network by DID, collection, and record key. The CID is a cryptographic content identifier that uniquely identifies the exact content of that liked record.

These like records exist under the app.bsky.feed.like namespace in the user’s repo. Bluesky’s repo model is built so that these repos are hosted on a user’s Personal Data Server and are publicly readable through the AT Protocol APIs. Because of that, the like record and its fields can be fetched, indexed, and used by any client or service that can query the protocol.

The protocol exposes operations like getLikes. This returns all of the like records tied to a particular subject’s AT-URI and CID. It also exposes getActorLikes. This returns all of the subject references a given actor has liked. Those API calls return structured like objects with timestamps and subject references directly from the public repository data.

Various feeds hosted by different PDSs use the likes property to construct the feeds that you see. Since the likes of people you follow are included in your social graph, along with your own likes, you’re going to get served the porn they are consuming. Because likes are public and anyone can write an algorithm to see everyone’s likes, you can clearly see just how much porn people are consuming.

Honestly, what started to turn my stomach about the people on Bluesky is how they behave across different contexts. If you look through the records of the posts they interact with, you’ll see them engaging with political posts in the replies like a normal person. Then, when you look through their AT Protocol records, you see hours and hours of them interacting with every kind of porn imaginable. I am not exaggerating. Hours of likes for porn posts within 1–10 minutes of each other. Am I sex-negative? A prude? No, this site is filled with furry, gay bara porn, lol. You can have a drink without being an alcoholic. The problem with these people is like people who can’t have one drink without drinking the whole fucking day; they can’t consume porn in healthy ways.

I think people assume that their feed is customized for them and based on their likes. No—feeds are generalized based on what everyone likes and then served to your subgraph. It’s not just about who you follow; it’s about who they follow. So if you follow someone who follows a lot of people with porn addictions, you will see porn. Bluesky isn’t weighting the algorithm to do this. Basically, it’s the people in your social network with furry, hentai, or trans porn addictions who are driving it.

BlueSky’s Solution To Moderating Is Moderating Without Moderating via Social Proximity

I have noticed a lot of people are confused about why some posts don’t show up on threads, though they are not labeled by the moderation layer. Bluesky has begun using what it calls social neighborhoods (or network proximity) as a ranking signal for replies in threads. Replies from people who are closer to you in the social graph, accounts you follow, interact with, or share mutual connections with, are prioritized and shown more prominently. Replies from accounts that are farther away in that network are down-ranked. They are pushed far down the thread or placed behind “hidden replies.”

Each person gets their own unique view of a thread based on their social graph. It creates the impression that replies from distant users simply don’t exist. This is true even though they’re still technically public and viewable if you expand the thread or adjust filters. Bluesky is explicitly using features of subgraphs to moderate without moderating. Their reasoning is that if you can’t see each other, you can’t harass each other. Ergo, there is nothing to moderate.

As a digression, I’m not going to lie: I really enjoyed working on software built on the AT protocol, but their fucking users are so goddamn weird. It’s sort of like enjoying building houses, but hating every single person who moves into them. But, you don’t have to deal with them because you’re just the contractor. That is how I feel about Bluesky. I hate the people. I really like the protocol and infrastructure.

I sort of am a sadist who does enjoy drama, so I do get schadenfreude from people with social media addictions and parasocial fixations who reply to random people on Bluesky, because they don’t realize their replies are disconnected from the author’s thread unless that person is within their network. They aren’t part of the conversation they think they are. They’re algorithmically isolated from everyone else. Their replies aren’t viewable from the author’s thread because of how Bluesky handles social neighborhoods.

Bluesky’s idea of social neighborhoods is about grouping users into overlapping clusters based on real interaction patterns rather than just the follow graph. Unlike Twitter, it does not treat the network as one big public square. Instead, it models networks of “social neighborhoods” made up of people you follow, people who follow you, people you frequently interact with, and people who are closely connected to those groups. They’re soft, probabilistic groupings rather than strict labels.

Everyone does not see the same replies. Bluesky is being a bit vague with “hidden.” Hidden means your reply is still anchored to the thread and can be expanded. There is another way Bluesky can handle this. Bluesky uses social neighborhoods to judge contextual relevance. Replies from people inside or near your social neighborhood are more likely to be shown inline with a thread, expanded by default, or served in feeds. Replies from outside your neighborhood are still public and still indexed, but they’re treated as lower-context contributions.

Basically, if you reply to a thread, you will see it anchored to the conversation, and everyone will see it in search results, as a hashtag, or from your profile, but it will not be accessible via the thread of the person you were replying to. It is like shadow-banning people from threads unless they are strongly networked.

Because people have not been working with the AT Protocol like I have, they assume they are shadow-banned across the entire Bluesky app view. No—everyone is automatically shadow-banned from everyone else unless they are within the same social neighborhood. In other words, you are not part of the conversation you think you are joining because you are not part of their social group.

Your replies will appear in profiles, hashtag feeds, or search results without being visually anchored to the full thread. Discovery impressions are neighborhood-agnostic: they serve content because it matches a query, tag, or activity stream. Once the reply is shown, the app then decides whether it’s worth pulling in the rest of the conversation for you. If the original author and most participants fall outside your neighborhood, Bluesky often chooses not to expand that context automatically.

Bluesky really is trying to avoid having to moderate, so this is their solution. Instead of banning or issuing takedown labels to DIDs, the system lets replies exist everywhere, but not in that particular instance of the thread.

I find this ironic because a large reason why many people are staying on Bluesky and not moving to the fediverse—thank God, because I do not want them there—is discoverability, virality, and engagement.

In case anyone is asking how I know so much about how these algorithms work: I was a consultant on a lot of these types of algorithms, so I certainly hope I’d know how they work, lol. No, you get no more details about the work I’ve done. I have no hand in the algorithm Bluesky is using, but I have proposed and implemented that type of algorithm before.

I have an interest in noetics and the noosphere. A large amount of my ontological work is an extension of my attempts to model domains that have no spatial or temporal coordinates. The question is how do you generalize a metric space that has no physically, spatial properties. I went to school to try to formalize those ideas. Turns out they’re rather useful for digital social networks, too. The ontological analog to spatial distance, when you have no space, is a graph of similarities.

Astroturfing Is Pretty Pointless When Social Subgraphs Are Fragmented (e.g., the Fediverse)

I am seeing astroturfing in the fediverse again, by AT Protocol developers implicitly trying to shill their products. I think it is stochastic behavior by developers with too much time on their hands. Honestly, I do not care. I like the people on ActivityPub more, but I like the AT Protocol better, and I have developed for both. Astroturfing on ActivityPub networks is fascinating to me because it is so pointless.

I am actually a Computational Biologist and Computer Scientist whose specialty is combinatorics, social graphs, graph theory, etc. Specifically, I use this to create epidemiological models for the memetic layer of human behaviors that act as vectors for diseases, using the SIRS model. I do not just study germs; I study human behaviors.

The models I construct extend into a “memetic layer,” in which beliefs, norms, and behaviors (such as risk-taking, compliance with public health measures, or susceptibility to misinformation) spread contagiously through social networks. These behaviors function as vectors that modulate biological transmission rates. As a result, the spread of ideas can accelerate, dampen, or reshape the spread of disease. By running computational simulations and agent-based models on these graphs, I study how network structure, influential nodes, clustering, and platform-specific dynamics affect behavioral contagion. I also examine how these factors influence epidemiological outcomes.

To say it very concisely, I study how the spread of bat-shit insane beliefs, shit posts, and memes influences whether or not there is a measles outbreak in Texas. Ironically, this is an evolution of my studying semiotics, memetics, and chaos magick in high school. I got a job where I can use occult, anarchist techniques professionally.

I think a large reason why I do not care about astroturfing in the fediverse is that it’s so pointless, lol. Astroturfing to manipulate the narrative would actually work better on Bluesky to keep people there than trying to recruit from the fediverse. Furthermore, big instances are relatively small. Some people on Bluesky have follower lists larger than an entire large instance in the fediverse.

Within ActivityPub networks, astroturfing rarely propagates far, because whether information spreads depends on properties of the social graph itself. Dense connectivity, short paths between communities, and a sufficient number of cross-cutting ties support diffusion. ActivityPub’s architecture tends to produce graphs that are fragmented and highly modular. This limits the reach of coordinated activity.

ActivityPub is a system where each instance maintains its own local user graph and exchanges activities through inboxes and outboxes. This makes it autonomous and decentralized. The network consists of loosely connected subgraphs. Cross-instance edges appear only through explicit follow relationships. The ActivityPub protocol does not provide a shared or complete view of the network. Measurements of the fediverse consistently show uneven connectivity between instances, clustering at the instance level, and relatively long effective path lengths across the network. Under these conditions, large cascades are uncommon.

Instance-level clustering means that in ActivityPub networks, users interact much more with others on the same server than with users on different servers. Because each instance has its own local timeline, culture, and moderation, connections form densely within instances and only sparsely across them through explicit follow relationships. This creates a network made up of tightly connected local communities linked by relatively few cross-instance ties, which slows the spread of information beyond its point of origin.

However, with the AT Protocol, global indexing and aggregation are explicitly supported. Relays and indexers can assemble near-complete views of the social graph. Applications built on top of this infrastructure operate over a graph that is denser and easier to traverse. There are fewer structural barriers between communities. The diffusion dynamics change substantially when content can move across the graph without relying on narrow federated paths.

Astroturfing depends on coordinated amplification, typically through tightly synchronized clusters of accounts intended to manufacture visibility. Work on coordinated inauthentic behavior shows that these tactics gain traction when they intersect highly connected regions of the graph or bridge otherwise separate communities. In networks with strong modularity, coordination remains local. ActivityPub’s federation model produces this kind of modularity by default. Coordinated clusters stand out clearly within instances. Their effects remain confined to those local neighborhoods.

Astroturfing on ActivityPub therefore tends to stall on its own because of the underlying graph topology. Without dense inter-instance connectivity or any form of global indexing, coordinated campaigns have a hard time moving beyond the immediate regions where they originate. Systems built on globally indexable social graphs, including those enabled by the AT Protocol, expose a much larger surface for viral spread. Network structure and connectivity account for the divergence where that is independent of moderation, cultural norms, ideology, or intent.

It’s just really funny to me how these stochastic techbro groups waste so many resources. I personally don’t want to go viral, which is why I avoid platforms where I can. The fact that it’s harder to achieve high virality on ActivityPub is exactly why I prefer the fediverse over the Atmosphere. One way to think about it is that you can change the ‘genetics’ of a system with a retrovirus, where memetic entities act as cultural retroviruses to reprogram the cultural loci of a space. That is their end goal. They are trying to hijack cultures memetically. You see this a lot with culture jamming.

Basically, the astroturfing on ActivityPub networks is designed to jam and subvert the culture. But, as I have already said, the topological structure makes memetic virality stall. They cannot achieve that kind of viral spread in the fediverse, which is why I cannot understand why they do this every year.

#DanielSanchez is facing federal charges for what #FreeSpeech advocates say is a clear attack on the #FirstAmendment.

Excerpt: "Federal prosecutors have filed a new indictment in response to a July 4 noise demonstration outside the #PrairielandICE #DetentionFacility in #AlvaradoTX, during which a police officer was shot.

"There are numerous problems with the indictment, but perhaps the most glaring is its inclusion of charges against a Dallas #artist who wasn’t even at the protest. Daniel 'Des' Sanchez is accused of transporting a box that contained '#Antifa materials' after the incident, supposedly to conceal evidence against his wife, Maricela Rueda, who was there.

"But the boxed materials aren’t Molotov cocktails, pipe bombs, or whatever #MAGA officials claim 'Antifa' uses to wage its imaginary war on America. As prosecutors laid out in the July criminal complaint that led to the indictment, they were zines and pamphlets. Some contain controversial ideas — one was titled '#InsurrectionaryAnarchy' — but they’re fully constitutionally protected free speech. The case demonstrates the administration’s intensifying efforts to criminalize left-wing #activists after Donald Trump announced in September that he was designating 'Antifa' as a 'major terrorist organization' — a legal designation that doesn’t exist for domestic groups — following the killing of Charlie Kirk.

"Sanchez was first indicted in October on charges of 'corruptly concealing a document or record' as a standalone case, but the new indictment merges his charges with those against the other defendants, likely in hopes of burying the First Amendment problems with the case against him under prosecutors’ claims about the alleged shooting.

"It’s an escalation of a familiar tactic. In 2023, Georgia prosecutors listed #ZineDistribution as part of the #conspiracy charges against 61 #StopCopCity protesters in a sprawling #RICO indictment that didn’t bother to explain how each individual defendant was involved in any actual crime. I wrote back then about my concern that this wasn’t just sloppy overreach, but also a blueprint for censorship. Those fears have now been validated by Sanchez’s prosecution solely for possessing similar literature."

The International Week of Solidarity with #Anarchist Prisoners[1] takes
place every year between 23-30 August to commemorate the murders of the
Haymarket martyrs in Chicago, 1886, who died for freedom, labour rights
and dignity.

This year at BASE we’re holding a fund-raising dinner and letter writing
event along with a talk by ex-prisoner Toby Shone.

Two years since Toby was snatched[2] for attending an International Week
of Solidarity with Anarchist Prisoners letter writing event at BASE,

Security Division couldn’t keep our comrade out of our arms for long.

Russland: Anarchistische Kriegssaboteure vor Gericht

Alexy #Rozhkov zu 16 Jahren Haft verurteilt, Ruslan #Sidiki droht lebenslange Haft wegen „politischem #Terrorismus“

Vor dem #Militärgericht in #Jekaterinburg wurde Alexy Rozhkov gestern (20. Mai) wegen #Brandstiftung an einer #Rekrutierungsstelle zu 16 Jahren Haft verurteilt. Ebenfalls gestern stand Ruslan Sidiki vor dem Militärgericht in #Rjasan unter Anklage wegen der Zerstörung von Eisenbahnschienen, die zum Entgleisen von neunzehn Waggons mit #Düngemitteln geführt hatte. Sidiki wurde im November 2023 festgenommen und wird außerdem der versuchten Zerstörung von #Militärflugzeugen beschuldigt, wobei er in beiden Fällen ferngesteuerte GPS-gesteuerte #Drohnen eingesetzt haben soll.

Beide #Anarchisten geben die ihnen vorgeworfenen Taten zu, weisen jedoch die politische Anschuldigung des #Terrorismus zurück.

Rozhkov wurde zunächst wegen „Sachbeschädigung“ angeklagt, nachdem die Behörden erfolglos versucht hatten, ihn wegen „versuchten Mordes“ an einem Wachmann im Rekrutierungsbüro anzuklagen. Nachdem er aus Russland nach #Kirgisistan geflohen war, wurde er von den #Sicherheitsdiensten entführt und nach #Russland zurückgeschleppt.

„Ich habe einfach verstanden, dass man nicht gleichgültig bleiben kann“, sagte Rozhkov in einem Interview mit DOXA kurz vor seiner #Verhaftung und illegalen #Abschiebung. „Was jetzt passiert, ist unrechtmäßig, es ist illegal. Jeder Krieg bedeutet den Tod für normale Bürger.“ Er war der dritte Mensch in Russland, der nach dem vollständigen Einmarsch Russlands in die #Ukraine im März 2022 ein Rekrutierungsbüro in Brand gesetzt hat.

Sidiki seinerseits sagt, er habe keine anderen Mittel des Widerstands gesehen als direkte Aktionen. Die Zerstörung der #Eisenbahninfrastruktur, um den Transport von #Sprengstoff an die Grenze zur Ukraine zu stoppen, sei geplant gewesen, um sicherzustellen, dass bei der Beschädigung der militärischen Infrastruktur keine Menschen zu Schaden kommen.

„Ich bekenne mich teilweise schuldig“, sagte Sidiki vor #Gericht. "Ich erkenne die Tatsache der Ausbildung zu terroristischen Aktivitäten nicht an, ich hatte die Fähigkeiten bereits zuvor. Ich sehe keine terroristischen Absichten, da das Ziel #Sabotage war und nicht die #Einschüchterung der Bevölkerung. Ich gebe zu, die (dritte) Explosion vorbereitet zu haben. Die in meinem Haus gefundenen Komponenten sind Chemikalien, da ich mich für #Agrarchemie und #Pflanzenbau interessiere."

#Sabotageakte gegen die Eisenbahn in Russland sind häufiger geworden, wobei 2024 eine Rekordzahl von Brandstiftungen gegen die Eisenbahninfrastruktur verzeichnet wurde. Viele der Festgenommenen und Verurteilten sind junge Erwachsene oder Teenager. Der 16-jährige Pavel #Khazov wurde zu neun Jahren Haft verurteilt, der 17-jährige Space #Nevolainen zu sechs Jahren, weil sie wegen der #Brandstiftung an einem leeren Zugwaggon auf eine Liste von „Terroristen“ gesetzt worden waren.

#Mediazona berichtete über Fälle von dreizehn Minderjährigen, die wegen Brandstiftung an Relaiskästen für die Eisenbahn oder an militärischer Ausrüstung angeklagt wurden. Einige gaben an, dafür von einer unbekannten Person bezahlt worden zu sein. Pavel berichtete, dass er von einem Mann namens „Gustav“ dafür bezahlt wurde, den Zug anzuzünden, doch diese klare Zusammengehörigkeit der Minderjährigen qualifiziert sie in den Augen des Gesetzes dennoch als #Terroristen.

Dies sind eindeutige Anzeichen für politische #Schauprozesse, bei denen Sachbeschädigungen zu Terrorakten umgedeutet werden, um Unterstützung für den Krieg in der Ukraine zu mobilisieren und einen inneren Feind zu schaffen, gegen den die Russen kämpfen können, einen Feind, der von einem anderen, ausländischen Feind bezahlt wird. Im Fall von Ruslan Sidiki wird er nicht nur der Taten beschuldigt, die er begangen hat. Er wird beschuldigt, vom ukrainischen #Geheimdienst bezahlt worden zu sein; seine revolutionären Taten seien nur ein Tausch gegen die britische #Staatsbürgerschaft und Bargeld gewesen.

Sidiki wurde an Sicherheitskräfte in Zivil übergeben, die von ihm ein Geständnis forderten, andernfalls würde er gefoltert, aus der Stadt gebracht und hingerichtet werden. Sie würden es so aussehen lassen, als habe er versucht zu fliehen, sagten sie ihm. „Als ich auf dem Boden lag, traten sie mir auf die Hände und Füße, sodass ich sie nicht bewegen konnte, obwohl ich mich nicht wehrte“, erinnerte sich Sidiki in Mediazona. „Dann sagte einer von ihnen zu jemandem: ‚Ruf an!‘“

In diesem Moment durchfuhr mich ein elektrischer Stromschlag, der meine Muskeln zusammenzog und unerträgliche Schmerzen verursachte. Ich schrie laut und schlug meinen Kopf auf den Boden, während einer von ihnen vor mir stand und mich mit seinem Handy filmte."

Sidiki wurde mit sexueller Gewalt und der Amputation von Gliedmaßen bedroht und während der Elektroschocks mit verwirrenden Fragen konfrontiert. „Meiner Meinung nach“, erinnert sich Sidiki, „war der Stromstoß aus ihrem #Foltergerät vergleichbar mit einer Rosette der Kategorie 220 Volt. Da ich als Elektriker arbeite, habe ich in meinem Leben schon öfter solche Spannungen erlebt und kann die Wirkung vergleichen.“

„Wie lange die #Folter genau gedauert hat, kann ich nicht sagen, da ich nach ein paar Schocks benommen war, aber ich kann sagen, dass es unerträglich schmerzhaft war.“

Ein Korrespondent von #Mediazona verfolgt Sidikis Fall, ebenso wie Solidarity Zone, da beide versuchen, trotz strenger Einschränkungen durch Richter Oleg #Shishov, der #Journalisten die Aufzeichnung der Verhandlung untersagt hat, aus dem Gerichtssaal zu berichten.

„Ich wurde in ein Auto gesetzt, in dem nur Leute mit Masken waren“, erinnert sich Sidiki. „Ich glaube, das war kein Zufall, und der Ermittler und der Anwalt fuhren in einem anderen Auto. Ich wurde zu Verstecken und Sabotageorten gebracht, wo ich, nachdem ich den #IVS verlassen hatte, sofort von maskierten Leuten im Kopf-, Brust- und Bauchbereich geschlagen wurde.“

„Außerdem hatten diese Leute einen #Elektroschocker in Form eines Schlagstocks, und die meiste Zeit wurde ich mit Stromschlägen traktiert, bis die Batterie leer war. Von diesem Elektroschocker sind Spuren in Form von Verbrennungen auf meinem Körper zurückgeblieben, auch meine Kleidung ist verbrannt.“

„Ich habe immer noch Angst um mein Leben und meine Gesundheit wegen dieser Leute, die mich nach meiner Festnahme gefoltert und geschlagen haben“, sagte Sidiki.

Die Anklage gegen Sidiki versucht, von seiner politischen Einstellung als Anarchist als Hauptmerkmal des ihm vorgeworfenen Terrorismus abzulenken. Anwohner und Freunde aus seiner Kindheit wurden vor Gericht gezerrt, um jemanden zu finden, der von Sidikis Handlungen negativ betroffen war. Der Zugführer reichte eine Beschwerde ein und forderte eine Entschädigung in Millionenhöhe.

Der #Anarchist räumte „trocken“ ein, dass dem Zugführer „moralischer Schaden“ zugefügt worden sei. Schließlich fuhr er nur einen Zug voller #Sprengstoff in ein Land, das von seinem eigenen Land angegriffen wurde.

Doch trotz der Vorwürfe, Sidiki sei vom ukrainischen Geheimdienst bezahlt worden, über die nur in den diskreditierten staatlichen Medien #TASS berichtet wurde, schienen seine Ziele persönlich und eher in der Politik begründet zu sein, die die Russische Föderation gerne ignorieren würde: Sabotage und direkte Aktionen gegen Autoritarismus.

„Das Dröhnen der Tu-22 und Tu-95 vor dem Fenster fiel mit den Angriffen auf die Ukraine zusammen, und das bestimmte meine Wahl des Ziels: den #Militärflugplatz #Dyagilevo, nur zehn Kilometer von meinem Zuhause entfernt. Ich lebte mit meiner 80-jährigen Großmutter zusammen und wusste, wie schwer es für alte und kranke Menschen im Winter ohne Heizung und Licht ist“, schreibt Sidiki laut Solidarity Zone.

„Während ich die Badewanne mit heißem Wasser füllte, dachte ich an diejenigen, denen tausend Kilometer entfernt aufgrund geopolitischer Ambitionen die grundlegendsten Lebensbedingungen vorenthalten wurden. Und gleichzeitig reden sie immer noch von “brüderlichen Völkern„ und davon, dass “Russland keine Zivilisten bekämpft".

„Anarchist zu sein bedeutet für mich, wenn möglich, zu helfen oder mich an Projekten in meiner Nähe zu beteiligen“, sagt er gegenüber Mediazona. „An Aktionen teilnehmen, deren Kern der Schutz der Rechte und Freiheiten der arbeitenden Bevölkerung ist. Wenn es die Umstände erlauben, deine Ideen den richtigen Leuten näherbringen. Neue Kenntnisse und Fähigkeiten erwerben, die es dir ermöglichen, das oben Genannte effektiver zu tun.“

„Als ich im Gefängnis war“, sagte Rozhkov in einem Interview vor seiner Verhaftung, "kam ein Anwalt vom Anarchistischen Schwarzen Kreuz zu mir. Mir wurde Hilfe angeboten. Wir stellten auch einige Fragen: Möchte ich Briefe, Hilfe, Überweisungen erhalten und den Fall öffentlich machen? Ich lehnte Unterstützung und Öffentlichkeit ab, aber ich beschloss, dass es schön wäre, Briefe von Menschen zu erhalten, die nicht gleichgültig sind, die Menschen wie uns in Gefangenschaft helfen. Die Briefe haben mir wirklich sehr geholfen ..."

“Wenn du das Leben von Gefangenen irgendwie aufhellen willst„, sagt Sidiki, “schreib Briefe, schick Postkarten, das bringt dich trotz aller Schwierigkeiten zum Lächeln".

Ein unfreiwilliger Soldat im Kulturkrieg oder: Es ist mir ehrlich gesagt nicht so wichtig, trans zu sein, aber hier sind wir nun einmal

Ich habe mir den #Kulturkrieg nicht ausgesucht, der Kulturkrieg hat mich ausgesucht. Wenn ich auf mich allein gestellt wäre, würde ich gerne wieder so tun, als wäre mir mein #Geschlecht scheißegal. In meinem Kopf sind meine Pronomen sowieso „ich/mir/mein“. Ich schaue nicht jeden Morgen in den Spiegel und denke: „Ah, ja, da bin ich, eine wunderschöne Transfrau.“ Ich suche nur nach Muttermalen, die vielleicht eine Biopsie benötigen. Ich rasiere mir nicht das Gesicht und denke dabei: „Das mache ich besser, damit ich eine bessere Transfrau werde!“ Ich möchte einfach nur wie ich aussehen, also benutze ich einen Rasierer, um mich wie mich aussehen zu lassen, denn #Covid hat meine Laser-Haarentfernung unterbrochen und ich bin noch nicht dazu gekommen, von vorne anzufangen.

Wenn ich jedoch die Straße entlanggehe, denke ich, je nachdem, wie ich gekleidet bin, tatsächlich: „Hier gehe ich, eine Transfrau, die Straße entlang.“ Nicht, weil ich das Gefühl habe, dass ich auf eine bestimmte Art und Weise gehen muss, sondern weil meine #Sicherheit davon abhängt, dass ich mir bewusst bin, wie andere mich wahrnehmen. Das #Geschlecht fühlt sich weniger wie etwas an, das ich bin, sondern wie andere Menschen mit mir umgehen.

Ich stelle mich den Leuten nicht als Margaret vor und denke: „Oh Mann, ich kann es kaum erwarten, dieser Person klarzumachen, dass ich eine Transfrau bin!“, sondern weil Margaret mein Name ist. Wenn ich die für mich wichtigen Beschreibungen auflisten würde, stünde „Trans“ nicht ganz oben auf der Liste. #Anarchist, #Schriftsteller, #Punk, #Grufti, sogar einfach „#Frau“ würde vor trans kommen. Woran ich glaube, was ich der Welt biete, wie ich meine Zeit verbringe, meine Ästhetik, all das ist für mich so viel wichtiger als mein Geschlecht.

Und doch stehe ich hier mit meinen Freunden im Zentrum eines Kulturkrieges.

Ich mag den Kulturkrieg nicht einmal. Der Kulturkrieg ist eine Ablenkung, die von den Mächtigen geschaffen wurde, um den Rest von uns dazu zu bringen, untereinander zu kämpfen. Ich muss mich jedoch dagegen wehren, denn die einzige andere Option ist, ihn zu verlieren. Es ist wie bei Menschen, die der #Ukraine sagen, sie solle den Frieden suchen – natürlich wollen die Menschen in der Ukraine #Frieden, aber wenn man nicht derjenige ist, der einen Krieg begonnen hat, ist der einzige Frieden, der einem angeboten wird, der Frieden des Gefangenen oder der Frieden des Grabes.

In dem Kulturkrieg, an dem ich teilnehme, sind Kompromisse nicht möglich, denn die Trans-Position lautet: „Wir sollten gleichberechtigt mit Cis-Menschen leben dürfen“, und die Anti-Trans-Position lautet: „Versteck dich wieder und/oder stirb.“

Wir haben nicht um Krieg gebeten, aber der Krieg ist da. #Antikriegsbewegungen machen nur Sinn, wenn sie sich gegen den #Aggressor richten. „Gebt dem Frieden eine Chance“ war ein guter Slogan in den USA während des# Vietnamkriegs, aber er hätte nicht so viel Sinn ergeben, wenn man in #Vietnam gelebt hätte.

Es ist ein unwirkliches Gefühl, für etwas kriminalisiert zu werden, das sich wie ein so kleiner Teil dessen anfühlt, wer ich bin, aber so funktioniert Unterdrückung nun einmal. Manche Frauen legen Wert darauf, Frauen zu sein, anderen Frauen ist es egal, Frauen zu sein, und das hat noch nie eine von uns, Cis- und #Transfrauen, davon abgehalten, von der #patriarchalischen Gesellschaft unterdrückt zu werden.

Es ist also sinnvoll, sich nach Geschlecht oder einer anderen unterdrückten Position zu organisieren. Es ist sinnvoll, stolz darauf zu sein, Teil der feministischen Bewegung zu sein, Teil des Kampfes für die Befreiung der #Queers. Ich bin stolz darauf, Teil einer Linie zu sein, zu der auch die #Stonewall-Unruhen gehören. Noch stolzer bin ich jedoch, Teil einer Linie zu sein, zu der auch Willem Arondeus gehört, der niederländische Schwule, der mit seinen schwulen Freunden in #Amsterdam die Akten der #Nazis verbrannte. Seine letzten Worte vor seiner Hinrichtung, die an seine lesbische Anwältin weitergegeben wurden, lauteten: „Lasst es alle wissen, dass #Homosexuelle keine Feiglinge sind.“

Ich habe in meinem Leben noch nie eine #Pride- oder #Trans-Flagge gehisst. Ich bin keineswegs dagegen, aber ich hatte immer das Gefühl, dass meine Flagge das solide Schwarz des #Anarchismus oder das Schwarz und Rot des #Anarchokommunismus ist. Meine Flagge ist das Schwarz mit gekreuzter Sense und Speer, mit der Aufschrift „Tod der Bourgeoisie“ in russischer Sprache, die von den Rebellen in #Kronstadt gehisst wurde, die zuerst gegen den Zaren und dann gegen die #Bolschewiki kämpften, die die neuen Zaren wurden. Für mich bedeutet queere Befreiung die Befreiung aller Menschen von allen Herrschern. „Sieg oder Tod!“ in einem Krieg gegen die #Oligarchie zu rufen, klingt verdammt queer.

Jetzt, in einer Welt, in der Staaten daran arbeiten, sowohl geschlechtsbejahende Fürsorge als auch #Transidentität völlig zu kriminalisieren, ist meine Flagge wohl auch eine #Regenbogenflagge. Meine Flagge besteht auch aus einem Bündel Streifen in Babyfarben. Das sind jetzt meine Flaggen, weil aus irgendwelchen absolut schwachsinnigen Gründen ein großer Prozentsatz der Menschen von ihren rechtsgerichteten Herrschern davon überzeugt wurde, dass es die wichtigen Themen des Tages sind, was in den Hosen der Menschen steckt und wen die Menschen lieben.

Die Leute sagen, dass der Kulturkrieg eine Ablenkung ist, was wahr ist. Es ist nur nicht die Art von Ablenkung, die man ignorieren kann. Beim Boxen lenkt der Jab vom Cross ab, aber das bedeutet nicht, dass man den Jab ignorieren kann.

Der Kulturkrieg wird von unseren Feinden geführt, um zu spalten und zu erobern, um uns davon abzuhalten, #Autoritarismus und #Oligarchie zu bekämpfen. Es ist jedoch besser, den Kulturkrieg nicht als Fata Morgana zu betrachten, als etwas, das man ignorieren kann, sondern als einen der Schergen unseres Feindes. Stell dir das Ganze wie ein altes Final-Fantasy-Spiel vor (das ist das Trans-Frauen-bezogenste, was ich heute sagen werde). Du hast deinen Bosskampf, gegen den großen bösen #Faschismus. Er hat einen Haufen Schergen vor sich ausgebreitet. Wenn du einen dieser Schergen besiegst, taucht an seiner Stelle ein anderer auf, bis du den Faschismus besiegt hast. Die Sache ist jedoch die, dass diese kleinen Schergen dir die ganze Zeit Schaden zufügen. Vielleicht kämpfen wir nicht „zuerst“ gegen sie, aber wir kämpfen gegen sie zur gleichen Zeit, in der wir gegen den Faschismus kämpfen.

Die Sache ist jedoch die: Wenn dies unser Endgegner in Final Fantasy ist, sind wir nicht allein hier. Es gibt noch andere in unserer Gruppe. Wir alle haben ein Interesse an diesem Kampf (und es gibt noch andere Schergen, die vor ihm liegen).

Ich denke mindestens einmal pro Woche an etwas, das mir ein alter Bergarbeiter erzählt hat, als ich das erste Mal viel Zeit in West Virginia verbracht habe. Er war gerade aus dem Gefängnis entlassen worden, weil er gegen den #Kohleabbau auf Berggipfeln protestiert hatte, und er sprach davon, wie er Ende der 60er Jahre in den #Appalachen gegen den Krieg protestiert hatte. „Wir standen mit unseren Antikriegsschildern an einer Straßenecke, die #Schwulenrechtsaktivisten mit ihren Schildern an einer anderen Ecke und die #Schwarzenbefreiungsbewegung mit ihren Schildern an einer weiteren Ecke. Dann wurde uns klar, dass wir alle viel lauter und mächtiger wären, wenn wir alle an derselben Ecke stehen würden, also haben wir uns zusammengetan.“

Es geht um „mitmachen oder untergehen“, und zwar jetzt. Ich habe genug Geschichte gelesen, um zu wissen, dass ich das wörtlich meine. Ich glaube nicht, dass in meinem Leben in diesem Land jemals mehr auf dem Spiel stand. Wenn wir uns nicht für die #Palästinenser einsetzen, wenn wir uns nicht für #Migranten einsetzen, wenn wir uns nicht für Queers einsetzen, wenn wir nicht zusammenstehen, dann ... nun, wir haben alle das Gedicht gelesen.

I have a Ph.D. in Human Science (2016, Saybrook University), which is about the experience of being human in social contexts. It is the mother of the social sciences but is now, at least in the English speaking world, and at least as far as I can tell, a dead field.

Once upon a time, a very, very long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I was a computer programmer. It was the wrong career choice.

I am a #vegan #LibertarianSocialist (recovering #anarchist) mostly from the #SanFrancisco #BayArea in #California, presently residing in #Pittsburgh, #Pennsylvania, hoping to move to #erie

In #kyriarchy, I mostly focus on #classism and #ageism, but since arriving in Pittsburgh, have been confronted with blatant #racism (and yes, many white people here do see it). But #SocialJustice has to be for everybody; to focus on any one identity, to the exclusion of others, is nothing more than to elevate that identity over that of the predominantly wealthy white males who are now in charge.

I oppose all #imperialism and #SettlerColonialism, not just U.S. and NATO imperialism and settler-colonialism. Having lived on the underbelly of #capitalism most of my life, I am #anticapitalist and ferociously opposed to #neoliberalism. I oppose physical and structural violence.

Human beings have #HumanRights. These rights are not constrained by their governments' failures to ratify certain human rights treaties.

#Borders exist to mark off territory controlled by elites whose competition accounts for most if not all wars and to deny human beings on the "wrong" side of an arbitrary line rights and privileges available on the "right" side. This cannot be justified ethically. I am hostile to #xenophobia

Finally, I am pessimistic about the future of humanity. #COVID19 and the #ClimateCrisis demonstrate our unfitness for survival.

The #RadicalCommunalCare group who led on the above letter aims to be a network - with it currently connecting people across Europe - for disabled, chronically ill people & their partners where communal care can be discussed from an anarchistic/feminist viewpoint, but also put into practice. We have a Signal chat for exchange of information & support in the day-to-day & we aim to meet every 2-4 weeks via Signal video - with pacing - for thematic discussions (for instance: #MutualAid #AbolishTheFamily) alongside support & solidarity. It is an #AntiAbleist #AntiCapitalist #AntiFascist & #Intersectional space.

Being part of this group has had such a positive impact on me in a very short time. Despite being very introverted & also struggling with intense social anxiety - made worse by my #LongCovid & #OCD - from the first moment I got involved I have felt at ease, safe, welcome & heard. I have seen my confidence increase, my ability to advocate for myself - especially in terms of the #pandemic & my Long-Covid - improve. It's a place of solidarity & comradeship, approached from an intersectional #anarchist perspective.
