I've been working on updating a decision making process in a #coop from #voting to #consensus inspired by #ietf #decisionMaking process when a colleague made me realize that consensus process is not compatible with many #neurodivergent cognitive styles. It disproportionately favors #Neurotypicals and extraverted ppl while putting more introverted and less verbal type people at a disadvantage. Also it's yet another "social capital" dominated decision making process. Less social capital - less likely you'll actually speak up against the crowd.
The "no one left behind" goal is not fulfilled by the "no loud opposition" decision process. What process does that? We're staying with the simplistic voting for now but adding a prolonged debate. Any ideas? How other #cooperatives do that? Especially #anarchist ones?

Arson Attack on the DELTA Cops in Exarchia

We take responsibility for the arson attack on the DELTA group gang on Tsamadou and Tositsa streets, on Saturday night in Exarchia. A group of comrades approached the said group and sent them into a disorderly flight amidst screams of panic. It was a way on our part to show that with organization, discipline and above all the WILL to act, the doctrine of law and order is degraded in practice. However, it is also a message to the forces of repression that are ravaging the Exarchia neighborhood that the days when you went around beating like cowboys have passed irrevocably. You are unwanted in our places and we will show you this at every opportunity.
The attack is an act of honoring the memory of the armed fighter Kyriakos Xymitiris. The loss of the life of such a brilliant comrade will always be the driving force for us to overcome our fears, break our conventions and go on the attack on everything that oppresses and destroys people’s lives. It is our way of sending our solidarity and unlimited respect to the 8 anarchist comrades who are being prosecuted for the expropriation of a bank in Kato Tithorea. It is also an act of solidarity in the ongoing struggle of the Community of Occupied Refugees and the hunger strikers (at that time) Aristotelis Chantzis and Suzon Duppagne. A struggle that raises broader issues about the functions of communities that go against the modern world of the economic exploitation of everything and the conversion of entire neighborhoods, especially the center of Athens, into fillets for investment.
Exarchia is one such neighborhood. A historical neighborhood that has long been in the eye of the state and capital with the aim of its complete depoliticization. The complete alteration of its characteristics. They want us to get used to the presence of the occupation army on every corner. They want us to get used to the groups that buy alternative tourism and give tours in the narrow streets of Exarchia. They want us to get used to the unaffordable rentals and the countless Airbnbs. Drugs and the alternative entertainment. For us, Exarchia was, is and will be a meeting point and politicization of all young comrades. A starting point for clashes with the forces of repression. A point with a heavy legacy watered with the blood of our dead. So as long as it is in our power, we will not leave this battle without a fight. We will not succumb, we will not surrender.

New Democracy’s criminal management of prisons is a fact. From their management by the police and the continuous restrictions on the rights of prisoners, to the continuous tightening of the penal code, the abolition of permits, etc. One of the most characteristic cases is that of comrade Fotis Tziotzis who has currently been in complete isolation for 2 months. With our attack we break this wall of isolation and declare that no one is alone in the face of the intensifying state repression.

Your BlueSky Feed Is Porn You Didn’t Ask For Because Your Friends Are Gooners With a Severe Porn Addiction
A common complaint I see people make on Bluesky is: why am I being served so much porn or things I am not interested in? They will incorrectly believe that the algorithm is broken. It’s not broken. You didn’t know the people you knew as well as you thought you did. Porn addiction is a thing, and porn addiction is especially common with weebs. You’re seeing deranged shit because people you follow have porn addictions and are into deranged shit. So, though you may not be consuming porn, people in your network are. That activity kicks into your feeds.
The issue I have with that is that it essentially normalizes being sex pests in a space on the Internet. That sets the expectation that it is good—attractive, even—to act like that elsewhere. That expectation alienates relationships. Bluesky creates a cultural space that offers an unrealistic, bizarre representation of social relationships, which isolates and alienates the users who stay on there consuming erotica and porn like they do.
So, user repos in Bluesky have a property for likes. Bluesky’s underlying AT Protocol stores likes as first-class structured records in each user’s AT Protocol repository. In the AT Protocol lexicon, a like is an app.bsky.feed.like record type. Unlike a simple boolean flag on a post, it is its own record with a creation timestamp and a subject field that holds a strong reference to the liked record.
That strong reference is composed of an AT-URI and a CID. The AT-URI identifies the exact record in the network by DID, collection, and record key. The CID is a cryptographic content identifier that uniquely identifies the exact content of that liked record.
These like records exist under the app.bsky.feed.like namespace in the user’s repo. Bluesky’s repo model is built so that these repos are hosted on a user’s Personal Data Server and are publicly readable through the AT Protocol APIs. Because of that, the like record and its fields can be fetched, indexed, and used by any client or service that can query the protocol.
The protocol exposes operations like getLikes. This returns all of the like records tied to a particular subject’s AT-URI and CID. It also exposes getActorLikes. This returns all of the subject references a given actor has liked. Those API calls return structured like objects with timestamps and subject references directly from the public repository data.
Various feeds hosted by different PDSs use the likes property to construct the feeds that you see. Since the likes of people you follow are included in your social graph, along with your own likes, you’re going to get served the porn they are consuming. Because likes are public and anyone can write an algorithm to see everyone’s likes, you can clearly see just how much porn people are consuming.
Honestly, what started to turn my stomach about the people on Bluesky is how they behave across different contexts. If you look through the records of the posts they interact with, you’ll see them engaging with political posts in the replies like a normal person. Then, when you look through their AT Protocol records, you see hours and hours of them interacting with every kind of porn imaginable. I am not exaggerating. Hours of likes for porn posts within 1–10 minutes of each other. Am I sex-negative? A prude? No, this site is filled with furry, gay bara porn, lol. You can have a drink without being an alcoholic. The problem with these people is like people who can’t have one drink without drinking the whole fucking day; they can’t consume porn in healthy ways.
I think people assume that their feed is customized for them and based on their likes. No—feeds are generalized based on what everyone likes and then served to your subgraph. It’s not just about who you follow; it’s about who they follow. So if you follow someone who follows a lot of people with porn addictions, you will see porn. Bluesky isn’t weighting the algorithm to do this. Basically, it’s the people in your social network with furry, hentai, or trans porn addictions who are driving it.

<<MIND THE STAIRS>>A year and a day after comrade and armed anarchist fighter Kyriakos Xymitiris was killed in an apartment on Arcadia Street, following a premature bomb explosion, he was destined to remind everyone that social peace is nothing more than empty words in an empty space.
Along with the explosion, a promise was made. That the comrade would not be forgotten. The comrade has not been forgotten. His name became a slogan on the lips of thousands. Then it adorned walls, was written in texts and was the subject of events. However, it was not long before this name became a signature. The name of the fallen anarchist guerrilla Kyriakos ceased to belong exclusively to him. Conspirators met and nuclei were formed with his name. Commandos slipped away in the night and in the shadows in order to give light and noise to the quiet monotony of the metropolis. Going along this path, we decided to carry out a raid on the cops who have taken up camp on Strefi Hill.
We struck in broad daylight, reminding the uniformed bastards that they will never be in peace amid us even for a moment. In recent years, there has been an effort to turn the Exarcheia neighbourhood into a well-guarded alternative resort, where tourists enjoy the aesthetics of the “subculture” and the unconventional character of the neighbourhood without actually contributing in the slightest to the Cause and the goals for which we are fighting. Seeing what is happening before our eyes, we choose not to stand by as observers. We choose direct action, militantly defending our projects and ideas in the here and now. The Exarcheia you dream of will turn into your worst nightmares.
PS: We were saddened about the absence of the riot police as we really wanted to see them running after what happened the previous night, during the memorial march and more generally in the neighbourhood. On the other hand, their colleagues from the OPKE (Special Police Teams for Crime Prevention and Suppression) team proved to be satisfactorily efficient in the game of hide and seek.
PS2: We also dedicate this action to comrade Christos Spilios, who died recently, but will always be in our struggles.

<<MIND THE STAIRS>>A year and a day after comrade and armed anarchist fighter Kyriakos Xymitiris was killed in an apartment on Arcadia Street, following a premature bomb explosion, he was destined to remind everyone that social peace is nothing more than empty words in an empty space.
Along with the explosion, a promise was made. That the comrade would not be forgotten. The comrade has not been forgotten. His name became a slogan on the lips of thousands. Then it adorned walls, was written in texts and was the subject of events. However, it was not long before this name became a signature. The name of the fallen anarchist guerrilla Kyriakos ceased to belong exclusively to him. Conspirators met and nuclei were formed with his name. Commandos slipped away in the night and in the shadows in order to give light and noise to the quiet monotony of the metropolis. Going along this path, we decided to carry out a raid on the cops who have taken up camp on Strefi Hill.
We struck in broad daylight, reminding the uniformed bastards that they will never be in peace amid us even for a moment. In recent years, there has been an effort to turn the Exarcheia neighbourhood into a well-guarded alternative resort, where tourists enjoy the aesthetics of the “subculture” and the unconventional character of the neighbourhood without actually contributing in the slightest to the Cause and the goals for which we are fighting. Seeing what is happening before our eyes, we choose not to stand by as observers. We choose direct action, militantly defending our projects and ideas in the here and now. The Exarcheia you dream of will turn into your worst nightmares.
PS: We were saddened about the absence of the riot police as we really wanted to see them running after what happened the previous night, during the memorial march and more generally in the neighbourhood. On the other hand, their colleagues from the OPKE (Special Police Teams for Crime Prevention and Suppression) team proved to be satisfactorily efficient in the game of hide and seek.
PS2: We also dedicate this action to comrade Christos Spilios, who died recently, but will always be in our struggles.

Comrade Christos Spilios, a native of the metropolitan youth and the rising anarchist movement, found himself on the just side of the barricade since 1990. He participated continuously and with all his being in every form of struggle, from solidarity with political prisoners, almost always Christaras started ”the passion” as in how many photographic snapshots of chained comrades do we remember his fist accompanying their smile. From militant and street anti-fascism, from the struggles for his beloved Exarchia, to the anti-war mobilizations; in the last two years the Palestinian keffiyeh had become an integral part of his body.
Christos was always here, with his madness, with his smile, and even with his demons that he always eluded.

After the end of the event “Revolutionary memory and the struggle perspective “ in Messolonggiou [pedestrian area of Exarcheia], a crowd of comrades descended on the corner of Koletti and Themistokleous streets to defend the liberation of the building in course.
The following is the self-presentation of the occupation:
The silence of the metropolis weighs on our backs like a stone. The streets are full of tired looks, bodies crawling out of habit, fear, submission. People move along prescribed paths without questioning, tempering their dreams. Everything is programmed to work exactly as they want: work, consumption, obedience. But, always, beneath the surface, something is boiling.
History is not written by the obedient. Some choose to bear the burden of disobedience. To crack the concrete of normality. To confront the invisible hand of power that suffocates every aspect of our lives. Refusing to submit is not a mere stance. It is a call to question, overthrow, take back what belongs to us.
We are comrades, anarchists who come from different political and ideological starting points, but we have found ourselves in the same fires of struggle. There, where common struggles and collective experiences united us, we recognized the vital need to create a space for meeting, political fermentation, exchange of views and organizational empowerment. At a time where isolation is imposed and communities of struggle are being dismantled by the repression, the formation of such spaces is not only necessary – it is crucial. The repressive blows of recent years did not come by chance. The authorities are attempting to eliminate every source of resistance, crush every form of self-organization and extinguish the flame of questioning. Great gains have been lost, the movement has been driven into a defensive position, the recession is now visible. But we know that history is written by those who do not retreat, by those who are not afraid to face reality. To remain on the defensive means to accept defeat. And that will not happen. The time has come to turn words into actions, to move from defence to offence. To make it clear that the enemy will not get its way with us so easily. To carve out our own field of struggle, to claim our space and time. To liberate territory from domination, to create a living centre of resistance, a radical hotbed of fermentation and action. We see the occupation as an integral part of the movement and the movement as an organic element of the occupation. The existence of territories of struggle is not just a practical issue, but a deeply political one. Occupations are not just hangouts, they are not just places of hospitality. They are bastions of resistance, laboratories of radical practices, cracks in the normality that they are trying to impose on us. And this reality is non-negotiable.
Each neighbourhood, each street, each square is not neutral ground. It is a living map of contradictions, conflicts and claims. Cities are built on discipline, policing, the sterilization of public space. The squares are filled with cameras, the walls are painted grey, the buildings become inaccessible fortresses for those who do not have the means to pay the cost of existence in a world where everything has a price. Dominion is implementing a strategic plan of universal control of the metropolises, crushing every centre of resistance. With the weapon of black propaganda and ideological war, it attempts to shape consciousnesses, while the deliberate degradation of neighbourhoods through the spread of organized crime and the violent expulsion of the local population is paving the way for complete absorption by capital. State repression acts as an armed guard for investors, real estates devour the land, houses become commodities, rents rocket sky-high, public spaces are transformed into sterile fields of surveillance and consumer uniformity. The scourge of gentrification and Civilization is swallowing up cities, functioning as a mechanism of subjugation and social control. Exarcheia, a neighborhood steeped in the history of struggles, is in the crosshairs of the state and capitalist onslaught. On the one hand, the state unleashes waves of repression: evictions of squats, reinforcement of the police presence, militarization of the space. On the other, capital plunders the collective memory, absorbing symbols of resistance and transforming them into a tourist commodity. Our subcultures are being forged and adapted into “alternative” commercial projects, while the neighborhood is being altered to serve the entertainment and lifestyle industry.
We will not let them turn the place of our struggles into yet another decorative attraction. For all these reasons, we are opening the squat in the historic neighborhood of Exarcheia. Because its streets are not for sale. Because memories are not commodities. Because living resistance will not become tourist attractions, but battlefields.
Squatted places can certainly be islands of resistance in the archipelago of struggle. They are also barricades. Spaces where sovereignty loses control, where the state ceases to be the absolute regulator of life. They are workshops of struggle, meeting points, centres of self-organization and action.
Insurgent and revolutionary culture does not appear by itself. It is cultivated. It develops in basements, squares, hangouts, in gazes that do not bow down, in bodies that do not accept being disciplined by the enemy. The occupation is not an isolated event. It has the ability to walk in the practice of denial, to constantly remind us that we are not numbers in the state’s registers, we are not cogs in the production machine, we are not pawns on the chessboard of power. We are here and are taking what belongs to us, creating the cracks from which new possibilities will spring.
The circumstances therefore leave us unscathed in terms of our anarchist consciousness and practice. We refuse to join the terror resulting from the ”repressively unfavourable times”. Against reformist rhetoric, the manifestation of which are choices of political conformism in the field of action, we are stubbornly for permanent and total rupture. Our anxiety is not the repression that has existed and will exist against us but the continuous wager with ourselves, in terms of avoiding political strategies that are threatening to pass a movement into oblivion through an increasingly deficient militant presence both at the level of events and structures.
We understand that the absence of a militant culture weakens us as a movement, makes us vulnerable and helpless in the face of the onslaught of power. Inaction is tantamount to defeat. We are therefore attempting through this project to build a solid base that will promote the revolutionary/insurgent perspective, intensify the threat against the oppressive mechanisms of the present and cultivate the rebellious consciousnesses of tomorrow. Because rebellion is not a theoretical scheme. It is action, it is fermentation, it is constant conflict.
WHY DO WE CHOOSE and PROMOTE REVOLUTIONARY and INEVITABLE (DIRECT ACTION) as a culture?
i.Because, it is the only means of direct confrontation with the enemy in the here and now. It is the practice that creates “ground zeros”, breaking the chains of normality, giving subjects the power to determine their own fate.
ii.Because, at its core, Anarchy is a constant war for freedom. It is not a slogan, it is not a theory, it is conflict, it is action.
iii. Because comradeship is not an abstract concept, but living and non-negotiable relationships among fighters. These are forged in the fire of battle, side by side in every crisis, every defeat, every difficulty. It is there that we rediscover our lost collective self.
iv.Because it pushes subjects to exceed their limits, to break the chains of fear, to question the impossible.
v.Because the aggression of direct action is not blind violence, but a strategic choice. The spread of revolutionary action, the generalization of violent confrontation with the powers of authority, is necessary for the deconstruction of the state and capitalist edifice and the crushing of the social relations of oppression.
The duty of every struggling person is to enrich their tools daily, both on a practical and theoretical level, which will bring them to the fulfillment of their ideals. Boldness, risk, imagination, organization, faith and consistency are required. Intention is not enough, decision is needed. For these reasons, for us the opening of this occupation is a part of this direction.
