Instead of doing full colonialism like the British Empire did, USA does colonialism by proxy government; Independent in a legal sense, but not independent in a financial and military sense.
I propose we call this Neoliberal Neocolonialism.

i feel like, too often, all the advice we give/receive for dealing with our struggles is based in uncritical acceptance of social atomization as a fact of life, a law of the universe.
