CW: CW: transphobia, psychiatric abuse, forced institutionalisation
There is a political project underway to make transgender existence pathological again.
That distinction matters.
This is not merely about terminology. It is about institutional power: who gets to define a person's identity, whose account of their own existence is considered credible, and what happens when an individual refuses the definition imposed upon them.
The historical pattern is not particularly obscure.
First, difference is classified as disorder.
Then disorder becomes evidence of incapacity.
Incapacity becomes justification for paternalism.
Paternalism becomes coercion. At that point, the institution no longer has to demonstrate that the person is dangerous. It merely has to establish that the person is not sufficiently competent to define themselves.
This is how medical authority can become a technology of social conformity.
And no, putting this process inside a psychiatric framework does not make it benevolent. Calling coercion treatment does not alter its coercive character. Calling confinement care does not make the locked door disappear.
There is a particularly grotesque irony here: people who insist that transgender identities are merely ideological constructions are perfectly willing to construct an elaborate ideological apparatus around the proposition that trans people are mentally defective.
The objective is not scientific neutrality.
It is disciplinary legitimacy. So let us dispense with the euphemisms.
If your political programme requires declaring an entire class of people mentally ill because they refuse to live according to your preferred conception of gender, you are not practising medicine. You are practising social control.
And if your proposed remedy is to remove those people from society until they become sufficiently compliant, then the problem is not their supposed pathology.
It is your willingness to manufacture pathology in order to justify their removal.
History has a name for that kind of medicine.
It is not care.
It is not neutrality.
And it is certainly not progress. We have already seen what happens when institutions are given the authority to decide which identities constitute legitimate human existence. We do not owe anyone the opportunity to repeat the experiment on us.

Ah yes. The great fascist emergency:
RAINBOWS.
Apparently a bit of colour on a wall is now a sinister ideological occupation force.
Paint over it with a German flag, though, and suddenly it’s “just as it should be.” 🤡
And then comes my favourite little sentence:
“Tolerance and diversity are being forced on me.”
Oh sweetheart.
If your freedom requires everyone else to disappear, you don't want freedom. You want the freedom to spew your hateful nationalism without any resistance.
You don't want “unpolitical.”
You want your politics to be the wallpaper. You don't want to be left alone.
You want us to be invisible. And no, I don't think you're confused.
I think you know exactly what you're doing.
That's the ugly little secret underneath all that whining about “perversion” and “having things shoved in your face”:
You want us gone.
Well.

Court case brought by 'Zionist federation' against respected journalist Mary Kostakidis discontinued..
"Federal court proceedings brought by the 'Zionist Federation of Australia' (ZFA) against journalist Mary Kostakidis have been discontinued “by consent” with “no order as to costs”.
Kostakidis said in a statement she had spent “two years doing nothing but preparing my defence in a case aimed at silencing me” and the discontinuation was a “win for every Australian who values our democratic right to freedom of political expression”.
“I want to thank my fellow Australians who recognised the significance of what we stand to lose, stood with me and stepped up to assist me to launch my defence,” she said.
“The purpose of journalism is to get to the truth – fearlessly – and to hold power to account. This is a win for press freedom, which has prevailed.
“Watching a people livestream their own genocide while the international community responsible for creating this mess offers the victims sympathy and the perpetrators bombs, diplomatic cover and impunity, has been disgusting.”"

"Núcleo Nacional's rally, under the slogan 'Catalanidad es Hispanidad,' attracted about a thousand anti-fascist protesters organized by the Socialist Youth Organization.
Following tense moments, the far-right demonstrators fled the scene, leaving the square to the independence supporters.
Subsequently, several independence groups moved towards the Arc de Triomf, where some began setting fire to containers. During the march, chairs, tables, stones, bottles, and fireworks were thrown at riot control vehicles and deployed officers."

Power grab
Omarchy should not matter. But sadly it does. As a power grab. If you don't know what Omarchy is here's the short summary. David Heinemeier Hansson, creator of RubyOnRails, owner of a software business and millionaire, decided a few months ago to go all in on Linux and - because that's just his MO - thought that turning his setup into a project made sense. Omarchy is just that: A pretty standard Arch Linux distribution with a handful of configuration files, that Heinemeier Hansson (or DHH as […] -
CW: CW: Germany, racism, anti-queer violence, fascism, harassment
Apparently, Everything Is Fine
Germany has apparently solved racism.
Nobody told the racists, obviously.
You point at racist abuse: isolated incident.
Anti-queer violence: isolated incident.
Fascists getting louder and more comfortable: you're being hysterical.
And when you say, "Actually, I'm starting to think about leaving," suddenly you are the one causing the problem.
The "funniest" part? It's not just conservatives doing this.
Liberals do it.
Some leftists do it.
People who can explain structural oppression over three coffees will suddenly become deeply philosophical about whether the racism happening right in front of you really counts.
"Germany learned from its history."
Yes, apparently the certificate is laminated.
"Don't give the far right ammunition."
Darling, the far right doesn't need my ammunition. They have their own fucking factory.
I am tired of pretending that denial is nuance.
I am tired of queer people being told to calm down while hatred gets louder.
I am tired of being told that what I can see, hear and experience isn't happening because acknowledging it would make somebody uncomfortable.
I still resist. Obviously.
I write. I speak. I organise. I show up. I remain gloriously fucking inconvenient.
But here's the thing:
Resistance does not require me to stay.
I can fight for Germany while quietly wondering whether Germany is somewhere I still want to build a life.

CW: CW: dehumanisation, death threats, fascism, camps, hate speech
There is a German phrase I keep coming back to: soziale Verrohung.
Social brutality. The coarsening of society. The point where cruelty stops being shocking and starts becoming conversational.
And honestly? We are watching it happen in real time.
People aren't merely saying, “I disagree with you” anymore.
They are saying:
You are degenerate.
You are vermin.
You are unworthy of living.
You should be killed.
You should be sent to the camps. And increasingly, they aren't even bothering to hide behind anonymous accounts.
Full names. Real photographs. Proudly attached to it.
That should frighten us.
Because dehumanisation is not just “strong language”. It is how cruelty becomes socially acceptable. First someone is annoying. Then disgusting. Then dangerous. Then somehow no longer quite human.
History has a rather ugly filing cabinet full of examples.
So no, I am not going to politely debate whether my friends, my community, or anyone else is sufficiently “worthy” of dignity.
Human rights are not a popularity contest.
And if your politics requires treating other human beings as disposable, perhaps the problem isn't that the rest of us need to become more tolerant.
Perhaps your politics is simply fucking monstrous.

CW: CW: Fascism, racism, Islamism, white supremacy, violence
Today I was told I should leave Europe because I apparently hate white people so much.
Why?
Because I keep fighting fascism and Nazis.
And apparently, according to this person, my great ideological failure is that I refuse to name Muslims as the “main threat.”
Seriously?
The chap I buy my kebabs from is Muslim. The family running the grocery store across the street is Muslim.
The people who tried to beat me up in Utrecht were Czechs. The woman who recently verbally attacked me on the U-Bahn was Christian, and white.
And yes, the attacker at the Berlin CSD was an Islamist.
And that is precisely my fucking point.
I fight fascism.
White supremacist fascism. Christian fundamentalism. Islamism. Nationalism. Authoritarianism. Whatever flavour of hatred comes crawling out from under whatever rock it has chosen to call home.
I am not going to participate in the fascist fantasy that Muslims are the enemy while white men are apparently waiting nobly in the wings to save civilisation.
Sorry. I've met history.
I know what hateful white men are capable of when they decide that their hatred gives them permission to hurt people.
And frankly?
I know people I would much rather stand beside.
My kebab vendor.
That Muslim family at the grocery store.
People who simply get on with their lives, treat me like a human being, and don't require me to pass some ridiculous racial purity test before they'll show me basic decency.
So keep your fucking race-war fantasies to yourself.
I judge people by their actions.
Actually, scratch that.
I don't collectively judge groups of people at all.
Except fascists.
Because fascism isn't a skin colour, an ethnicity, a religion, or a continent.
It's a choice.
And if you've chosen fascism, congratulations: you've chosen me as your problem.
I have no intention of making your life comfortable.

WTF is wrong with people?
Under every report of violence against queer people, the same crowd appears: laughing emojis and comments dripping with arrogant superiority. A little fascist choir celebrating suffering and dreaming of a world where some of us no longer exist.
We have seen where this leads. We know the signs.
This is not going to end well.

How to Build Real-World Antifascism: A Practical Instruction Manual for Civic Defense
By Cliff Potts – originally for Occupy25.com
Introduction
Online activism matters—but survival depends on more than hashtags and digital outrage. Real-world antifascism is about turning awareness into protection, mutual support, and cultural creation. This guide provides an academic framework and practical roadmap for individuals and communities seeking to move beyond symbolic resistance into lived antifascist practice.
Antifascism, historically, is not just a political stance—it is a method of social defense (Paxton, 2004). Fascism feeds on atomization, fear, and despair; therefore, the counterforce must be grounded in solidarity, courage, and care. The following three-tier framework—Defense, Connection, and Creation—outlines how ordinary people can build resilient, humane communities that resist authoritarian collapse.
🛡️ 1. Defense — Make the Vulnerable Safer
Know your local rights.
Start with education. Every activist should understand the laws that govern protest, recording law enforcement, and self-defense in their state or province. Legal literacy prevents intimidation and enables lawful assertion of rights. Resources such as the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and National Lawyers Guild provide regional guides to protest and privacy protections (ACLU, 2023).Mutual protection networks.
Organize trusted micro-groups—three to five people is ideal—for security and accountability. These “affinity groups” have been a cornerstone of successful protest movements from the Spanish Civil War to the modern climate justice era (Bray, 2017). Members should exchange secure contact methods, set rally check-ins, and practice situational awareness. In emergencies, small units react faster and protect each other better than loosely connected crowds.Build community safety nets.
Authoritarianism grows where despair thrives. Helping neighbors with transportation, ID recovery, food distribution, and medication access undermines the desperation that fascist recruiters exploit. Social aid is not charity—it is civic armor. Each act of care weakens the narrative that “no one will help you except the strongman.”🤝 2. Connection — Rebuild the Civic Fabric
Show up physically.
Attend local meetings: town councils, school boards, library committees, parish gatherings, or labor unions. Autocracy gains ground when citizens stop participating. Presence is political. The simple act of showing up transforms institutions from abstract systems into human spaces.Mentor and listen.
Engage with younger generations who are disillusioned or radicalized online. Offer mentorship through skill-based teaching—writing, first aid, community organizing, or journalism. Teaching practical skills replaces nihilism with purpose, an essential step in democratic renewal (Giroux, 2018).Bridge without surrender.
You do not need to argue extremists into enlightenment. Instead, maintain dialogue with the “gray middle”—those disengaged but influenceable citizens who often decide which way society tilts. By staying calm, visible, and humane, antifascists inoculate communities against polarization and propaganda.🌱 3. Creation — Fill the Cultural Space Fascism Feeds On
Make art that resists.
Fascism thrives when culture becomes propaganda. Writers, painters, musicians, and performers have a duty to tell the truth beautifully and bravely. From Picasso’s Guernica to protest folk songs, culture has always been the emotional infrastructure of resistance (Eco, 1995). Create art that speaks to decency, courage, and shared humanity.Practice mutual aid as daily culture.
Food drives, community gardens, neighborhood repair days, and disaster response teams prove that cooperation works better than cruelty. These initiatives demonstrate that mutual support is not utopian—it is efficient. Every local project models the world we claim to defend.Build parallel institutions.
When mainstream systems rot under corporate or authoritarian capture, communities must create independent alternatives: local presses, worker cooperatives, volunteer clinics, and study circles. These institutions do not wait for permission; they act. History shows that decentralized, self-funded networks sustain democratic culture when formal structures fail (Scott, 2012).Conclusion: From Protest to Presence
Real-world antifascism is not merely opposition—it is construction. It is the act of re-weaving civic life torn apart by greed and fear. It lives wherever neighbors learn each other’s names, workers demand fair pay, elders teach forgotten truths, and artists refuse silence. Fascism collapses when people choose presence over apathy, solidarity over spectacle, and service over submission.
As the twentieth century’s antifascist movements proved, moral courage is contagious. When we act—feeding, teaching, protecting, creating—we embody the alternative. In doing so, we make antifascism more than a slogan; we make it a culture of survival.

❝ CORPORATE DEMOCRATS ❞
=
CORPORATISTS
we know #corporatism is #fascism.
∴
corporate democrats are NOT centrists. they are the fascists of the #DemocraticParty
if your opponent is a fascist, you cannot be “a little bit fascist“ and call that #centrism.
a true Democratic party would defend #democracy and oppose fascism.
a true Democratic party would be an #antifascism party and make that the anchor of their political platform.
you are for fascism or against it. it’s as simple as that.

Protestwandeling / herdenking Februaristaking 2026
Mr. Visserplein, Amsterdam, woensdag 25 februari om 18:00 CET
(English below)
Verzamelen: vanaf 18.00 uur, Meester Visserplein. Wij serveren soep! Na een tocht door het centrum eindigen we weer op het Meester Visserplein.
-----
On February 25, 1941, Amsterdammers rose up en masse against the Nazi terror against their Jewish fellow citizens. Tens of thousands of workers stopped work and paralyzed Amsterdam for two days: the annually commemorated February Strike. But commemoration is more than just laying wreaths. Never again is possible only if we are always vigilant and rebel when fascism rears its ugly head.
Because the global rise of the far right is terrifying. The US kidnaps people daily because of their appearance. ICE executes counter-protesters in broad daylight on the streets. In Europe, fascist leaders are springing up like mushrooms. The genocide of Palestinians continues unhindered despite worldwide protests.
Things are also going wrong in the Netherlands. The far right is growing rapidly. Acquired freedoms and social services are disappearing. Every week, gangs with Prince's flags stand in front of asylum centers. The House of Representatives voted in favor of a motion by the FvD party to classify anti-fascism as terrorism.
Fascists openly proclaim the antisemitic "repopulation myth": the conspiracy that a Jewish elite is replacing the European population and culture with non-white people. The PVV (Party for Freedom), FvD (Foundation for the Democracy), and other far-right parties want to solve this fake crisis with closed borders and "remigration," a term coined by the minds behind the Holocaust. All of this is grist to the mill of organized (neo-)Nazis, who are increasingly openly expressing their hatred in the streets.
The lessons of the February Strike—standing up for each other and resisting hatred and oppression—have never been more relevant since the Nazi occupation. The Holocaust was possible because the majority remained silent.
The time to speak out is NOW.
That's why Mokum Tegen Fascisme is organizing a protest walk on February 25th, after the official commemoration at Jonas Daniel Meijerplein. With stories, poems, and music, we will translate the lessons of the past to today, so that the flame of resistance against the far right can be rekindled.
Gathering: from 6:00 PM at Meester Visserplein. We'll be serving soup! After a stroll through the city center, we'll finish back at Meester Visserplein.

How Many Members Does #Antifa Have? Where Is Its Headquarters? The #FBI Has No Answers.
Despite saying that antifa is the biggest U.S. domestic threat, the FBI couldn’t explain how the movement is a “terror organization” — or an organization at all.
by Matt Sledge, December 11 2025
Excerpt: "At one point, the FBI’s #MichaelGlasheen fumbled with his hands as he tried to find an answer for the question from Rep. #BennieThompson, D-Miss.
" 'Well, the investigations are active,' Glasheen said.
" 'You said antifa is a terrorist organization. Tell us, as a committee, how did you come to that?'
"Glasheen’s comments came three months after President Donald #Trump proclaimed that antifa is a 'major terror organization,' even though it the broad political movement does not have a #hierarchy or #leadership.
"Trump followed his designation with a presidential memo on September 25 directing the FBI-led Joint Terrorism Task Forces to investigate and prosecute antifascists and other adherents of 'Anti-Americanism.'
"The formless nature of the antifascist movement, however, appears to have flummoxed the FBI as it attempts to carry out Trump’s orders.
"Glasheen called antifa 'our primary concern right now' and called it 'the most immediate, violent threat' from domestic terrorists. That led Thompson to ask him where antifa is located and how many members it has." 'We are building out the infrastructure right now,' Glasheen said.
" 'So what does that mean?' Thompson shot back. “I’m just — we’re trying to get the information. You said antifa is a terrorist organization. Tell us, as a committee, how did you come to that? Where do they exist? How many members do they have in the United States as of right now?'
" 'Well, that’s very fluid,' Glasheen said. 'It’s ongoing for us to understand that. The same, no different than Al Qaeda or ISIS.'
"Glasheen visibly struggled to answer the question before saying that the FBI’s investigations were 'active.'
"Glasheen is a veteran FBI official who was appointed to serve as the Terrorist Screening Center director under the #Biden administration in 2023 and selected by current FBI Director Kash Patel as one of the agency’s five operations directors earlier this year.
"The FBI’s shift to focusing on alleged #LeftWing violence comes despite researchers at the Center for Strategic and International Studies finding that despite an increase this year, it remains 'much lower than historical levels of violence carried out by #RightWing and jihadist attackers.' "
