Meanwhile, a separate and persistent form of institutional obstruction was documented this week in the aged care sector. Go Gentle Australia's national report found that 73% of major aged care providers either block Voluntary Assisted Dying or fail to disclose their position to residents, and that 66% publish no information at all about availability of VAD despite it being legal in every Australian state.
