The Israeli military’s demolition of an entire village in #Lebanon is “a #Nakba of 2026,” the presence of hunting rifles and a #Hezbollah flag is enough to have a #Lebanese home designated “terrorist infrastructure,” and Israeli soldiers have operated there and in #Gaza out of a “sense of revenge.”

Those are some of the observations of a recently returned #IsraelDefenseForces (#IDF) reservist, whose testimony further calls into question continuing #US support for #Israel’s #war efforts in the region and starkly underlines the risks of a proposal currently on track to become law that would yet more deeply fuse the US and #Israeli #militaries together.

Eliyahu also advanced a bill to create a "Judea and Samaria Heritage Authority" for occupied West Bank, replacing military archaeology officer, with land expropriation powers in Areas A+B+C. Eliyahu said it's "an interim stage until full sovereignty."

Gisteren publiceerde The Rights Forum (https://rightsforum.org/israelische-documenten-bevestigen-de-palestijnse-overlevering-van-slachtpartijen-moorden-en-etnische-zuivering-in-1948/) een interview met de Israëlische historicus Adam Raz, die vertelt hoe nagenoeg de gehele Israëlische bevolking, sinds 1948, werd en wordt gehersenspoeld terwijl zij Arabieren (en later Perzen) uitroeien - en het Westen dat allemaal prima vindt.

Nakba significa catastrofe. E per il popolo palestinese non è solo un ricordo: è una ferita ancora aperta.

Dal 1948 a oggi, espulsione, occupazione, colonie illegali, assedio, distruzione hanno segnato la vita di milioni di palestinesi. A Gaza, oggi, questa violenza è sotto gli occhi di tutti: decine di migliaia di morti, famiglie cancellate, diritto internazionale completamente ignorato.

E l’Unione Europea continua a parlare di valori mentre mantiene rapporti privilegiati con Israele.

Basta ipocrisia!

L’Accordo di associazione UE-Israele si fonda anche sul rispetto dei diritti umani. Se quella clausola non vale davanti alle occupazioni, alle punizioni collettive e alle distruzioni di massa, allora è carta straccia.

Sospenderlo è il minimo che dovremmo fare.

Perché quando il diritto vale solo per alcuni, non protegge più nessuno.

Volt sta con la Palestina, con la giustizia, con il diritto internazionale. Senza eccezioni.

Those studies and literary works, even if published after the Nakba, drew on firsthand knowledge of what had occurred. That knowledge came from hundreds of thousands of people who experienced the events as they unfolded.

[...] Documents – especially those produced by the exploiting and profiting party, by the expeller and the massacre – add crucial detail. They allow for precision: the sequence of events, dates, types of weapons and ammunition, the names of those who gave orders, and the motives and objectives as defined by their authors. But to present such documents as if they alone reveal the truth – or as if truth exists only once they surface – is to grant the perpetrator the exclusive first and last word in determining what the true story is.

I find the wording interesting:

“… seeing it happen live in #Palestine right now…to see the physical displacement of this group of people and the death and destruction and seeing how it is being funded by the American government…”

It’s like the war in #Gaza, which Israel’s #ultranationalist call #Nakba 2.0; managed to make the original Nakba real for younger generations, who might not have even been aware it happened, or that Israel is still illegally occupying #Palestine (according to the partition resolution at the UN, at least).
