Global human rights system is in peril

Apparently the #US ministry of justice has decided to forbid federal attorneys to prosecute/investigate the shooting of #NicoleGood .

#Oligarchy and #Authoritarian #Regimes likely depend on protecting other Oligarchy and Authoritarian Regimes members, like in #Brazil.
In this case, #Trump is using US financial policies to also protect a criminal he seems to be friendly with.
It's hard to imagine any elected official approving of this type of behavior. However, elected #cult members likely love what Trump is doing for that exact reason.

About Murder by Decree
Murder by Decree is an #uncensored #record of the planned #extermination of #IndigenousChildren in #Canada’s murderous Indian #ResidentialSchools. It is issued as a corrective #CounterReport to the miscarriage of #justice by Church and State known as the “Truth and Reconciliation Commission” #TRC. Nothing is #inevitable. #Fascists portray themselves as an unstoppable force of nature to discourage resistance. This narrative is flawed because it ignores the dynamic nature of #society & deprives a lot of people of their agency. #History shows that concerted efforts can overcome #oppresive #regimes and ideas. By ejecting #fatalism and embracing our agency, we affirm that change is always possible, resistance is both meaningful and above all necessary. Hate is a choice,not inevitability.

Attempts to control the #internet, sold for "#safety", are always about taking away the measure of #power that a #decentralized, #independent #communications channel ("the internet") gave to the Little People, and to return it back to the #few, the #wealthy, the #powerful, the #connected.
What bothers me so much about it is that it isn't just the #brutal, #authoritarian, and #autocratic #regimes that propose it.
