  1. PUNK GIG: INDUSTRY + KLATWA + TBA // 30.07 at SYRENA

SYRENA, czwartek, 30 lipca 19:00 CEST

    CONSTANT EAST PREZENTUJE:

Lipcowy maraton kończymy miksem post-punka i d-beatu na Syrenie.

    INDUSTRY (Zimny anarchopunk z Berlina)

    HUMAN NEEDS (anarcho-punk - Rzym)

    https://humanneeds.bandcamp.com/album/concrete-generic

    INDUKTRI (hardcore, Kopenhaga)

    https://induktri.bandcamp.com/album/d-t-t-g

    DEATHKNELL (hardcore, Waw)

Kamień został podniesiony i wypełzają spod niego karaluchy z miasta stołecznego. Deathknell mają logo którego nie jesteś w stanie rozczytać, co powinno cię nakierować co jest grane. Chaos zwany sludge. Rzuć się w ciemność tej popielniczki i daj se.

    https://deathknellwarsaw.bandcamp.com

    KOÑ (post-punk, Waw)

Post-punk finest, ihaaaa. Dreamy melodie, dużo fajnego śpiewania, nikomu nie trzeba przedstawiać.

  21. Leftover Crack – White Guilt Atrocity Quilt 7″ (SBÄM)

Things have been a bit quiet lately in a crack rock steady world, but just when you think the old guard might be settling into the shadows, Leftover Crack returns, reminding everyone why they’ve been one of the greatest in the gutter-punk underground for decades. Packing two tracks of pure, undiluted spirit, this red vinyl proves that even with a refreshed lineup, the band hasn’t lost an ounce of the rawness or aggression that made them legends of NYC punk rock underground. If you’ve been following the trajectory of this band, you know they don’t do things by halves. This 7” captures a fascinating moment in their evolution, a new and improved sound that carries every single element that fans have obsessed over since the early 2000s. It’s a tight, focused, and incredibly heavy experience that stays relevant without abandoning the dirt that made you famous.

The A-side features “White Guilt Atrocity Quilt,” a song characterised by a modern anarcho-punk sound. Instead of relying solely on the typical high-speed thrash, the band opts for a powerful, mid-tempo stomp that lends the music a massive, physical presence. There’s this incredible theme delivered on the guitars that feels almost Slayer-alike in its dark, metallic precision. It’s an aggressive, chugging theme that elevates the punk foundation to new heights. The guitars shine throughout, balancing those heavy, bone-crunching riffs with catchy themes and even the occasional progressive leads. It’s a sophisticated approach to songwriting, proving that Leftover Crack are not afraid to flex their technical muscles. It’s nearly mindblowing how those instrumentations cut through the mix with such precision and finesse. The dual vocal impact packs a lot of punch. The interplay between male and female voices adds layers of harmony and raw intensity, perfectly capturing the anarcho-punk message. It feels communal and loud at the same time, making this composition even more aggressive, powerful, and meaningful. The rhythm section sounds absolutely massive. You’ll notice how the basslines deliver a layer of warmth and depth to the mid-tempo stomp. The drums keep the pace with relentless steadiness, providing a powerful anchor and allowing the guitars to experiment with those progressive leads without the song losing dynamics.

Then you flip the record, and you’re hit with “Brad Sabbath.” If the A-side was a look into the band’s modern evolution, the B-side is a glorious tip of the cap to the classic Leftover Crack sound. This is a fine piece of sonic artistry that moves with a dark, brooding intent. The band handles those slow, chuggy, and incredibly heavy segments with a mastery that honestly goes beyond comprehension. This song crawls under your skin, using dark melodic themes to create an atmosphere of heavy, existential dread. “Brad Sabbath” exemplifies how those sludge-infused moments are often their most powerful. The way the guitars transition from those heavy, chugging riffs into haunting melodies immediately blows your ears off. The vocals pair perfectly with the instrumentation, adapting to the slower tempo with a soulful delivery, making this song an instant standout in their massive discography. It’s an emotional and sonic journey packed into just a few minutes of vinyl, proving that the band can be just as effective when they slow things down as they are when they’re screaming at full throttle. This 7” is a mandatory addition to the collection of every true Leftover Crack fan. It represents a band that has been through the wringer and come out the other side with their vision intact and their sound sharper than ever. The production is excellent, allowing the complexity of the bass and the intricacies of the drumming to shine through, even amidst the heavy guitar distortion. As you peel back the layers of the dual vocals and the progressive guitar experiments, this 7” will force you to spin it over and over again.

SBAM Records has done a great job with the presentation, too. It’s a collector’s item that actually has the musical substance to back up its visual appeal. Whether you’re a fan of their old-school crack rock steady days or you’ve been following their more experimental turns over the years, White Guilt Atrocity Quilt offers something for everyone. It’s aggressive, it’s melodic, it’s technically impressive, and most importantly, it’s honest. Leftover Crack has successfully updated their sound without losing their soul, proving that age and experience only make the bite sharper. Do not miss this one. Head over to SBAM Records, grab the red 7” record, and turn it up until the walls shake.

  27. It's ACAB-Day (13.12.) again ;-)

So I created another playlist (this one also contains songs from the previous ones) to "honour" that day.
I coudn't manage to finish going through my lists, so there's more to be added (also in the later future when i find something, and time to add it), so bookmark / subscribe to the playlist's RSS-feed, so you don't miss anything in the future.

    youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZN

Sadly it's on youtube, but i only added songs that don't require login to listen/see them. For better privacy and to have proper shuffle you should use this link instead: youtube-playlist-randomizer.bi (click on "Shuffle"-Button)
