  1. Futures of Philanthropy

    medium.com/@FundAction/futures…

There is no binary of good and evil approaches. It’s about embracing complexity, adapting to emerging contexts and centring those most marginalised based on a common good that serves just societies. Our task is now to ensure that ethics, processes and governance align toward just redistribution models. The future of philanthropy is about co-creating it with those who carry the weight of it today. This requires humility, solidarity and the courage to imagine beyond our own horizons toward futures that honour multiple pasts and presents.

  2. Hype for the Future 119H: A Manifesto on Investment

Preamble Unfortunately, society often expects only one (1) approach to a “good life,” based on age and schooling followed by a career site and a possible life to retirement age. Society often expects a form of productivity that is performative rather than authentic, consumption-heavy rather than naturally inclined, and so on. The idea that the system society lives under equate stress and isolation with “productivity” is effectively just one (1) of the many lies told by modern society […]

  13. @lopalasi furthermore, the tech politics of the USA administration have become overtly hostile towards the EU, weaponising their grip on US tech corps. The ICC case is clear. So we need to work on our digital in(ter)dependence, right?

Of course the analogies to 1) D Day and 2) independence movements in the Global South aren't at all perfect. I'd say we need to incorporate #decolonialism in all senses in the discourse, work on solidarity and reparations with our brothers and sisters in the South

It’s not just that we, as Palestinians, do not have a clear view of the next steps: I tell you, even the countries in charge, including America, do not have clear steps,” said ...He told Drop Site that Palestinians recognize they cannot issue demands of Trump, but can impact the reality on the ground through their refusal to surrender or to leave.

  23. Just saw a '"Death to the IDF" is counter revolutionary' post.

The piece makes the Palestinian resistance into Iran proxies and completely ignores how Israeli workers PROFIT from the Israeli subjugation of Palestinian workers, and how American workers BETRAYED Palestinian workers. (I've a YT on that one, and here it is: youtube.com/watch?v=R6zDvSacg1)

The liberation of Palestine has always been a part of the class war, and people who share this now, after watching 20 months of Israeli workers gleefully genociding Palestinian workers and 77 years of colonisation of Palestinian workers by Israeli workers, show mostly their arm chair Whiteness ideas about liberation, IMNSHO.

FFS, just read the letter of Césaire on why he left the French Communist Party.

SORRY FOR THE EDITS, BUT THIS REALLY PISSES ME OFF.

  37. Food for thought: Anti-Zionism as Decolonisation

"It is essential to note that Palestinians have never rejected Jewish indigeneity in Palestine. However, the liberation movement has differentiated between zionist settlers and Jewish natives. Palestinians have established a clear and rational framework for this distinction, like in the Thawabet, the National Charter of Palestine from 1968. Article 6 states, ‘The Jews who had normally resided in Palestine until the beginning of the Zionist invasion will be considered Palestinians.’

When individuals misread ‘decolonisation’ as ‘the mass killing or expulsion of Jews,’ it is often a reflection of their own entanglement in colonialism or a result of zionist propaganda. Perpetuating this rhetoric is a deliberate misinterpretation of Palestinian thought, which has maintained this position over a century of indigenous organising."
