  2. The #US #empire, or #hegemony, has long been in decline, or rather undergoing a metamorphosis. What is arising is an empire of stateless #MultinationalCorporations, many of whom rose to prominence on the back of the US #economy but few of whom are now confined to its shores. They can still be reined in, but it will require the cooperation of all the world's large economies, especially the #EU and #China.

  7. Less than 2 weeks left until the old #Nest #thermostats go through their metamorphosis to become dumb thermostats.

Honestly, it might be a win for the owners in terms of #privacy. But if they want a wifi enabled thermostat that is open source and will never abandon them like this, please suggest a #HestiaPi.

You can make one yourself, buy a kit, or buy a prebuilt unit. If it ever breaks you can #repair it. If it doesn't do what you want, you can customize it. #FOSS #OpenSource #OpenHardware ❤️

  10. 🌀 Self-discovery isn’t about becoming someone new—it’s about reconnecting with who you’ve always been beneath the noise of expectations.

As Vasilis Mazarakis - The Metamorphosis Coach, I’ve guided many clients who believed they were “stuck.” The truth? They weren’t lost—they were simply buried under layers that didn’t belong to them.

The Swiffer pad and the handle came off, the broomstick and the umbrella holder are a perfect fit. The piece I brought with me is going through a metamorphosis

  12. I knew it, I'm undergoing a digital metamorphosis, guys. Ten years ago, I had no use for Linux, and for me Windows was the OG operating system for software and games. This year, I have not messed with Windows on my own computer for about a month now—the longest I have been off Windows in my house since I was a small boy. It's a feat I never thought I would accomplish. Coming up soon: to figure out how to make the Fedora partition the default to boot into.

  13. Nonbinary people can and often do take steps to transition.

It's not because they're really trans men or women in denial. Nonbinary people transition so that they can live better, more fulfilling lives.

They're not ending a phase. It's the start of metamorphosis.

  14. X launching long ago promised Financial App? Well Maybe - Sort of...

"‘X Money" rollout coming. Reports suggest people have been testing the service, and X says it will have “competitive perks,” such as 3% cash back on, a savings account offering 6% interest, an X-branded metal debit card emblazoned with the user’s @ handle, and free transfers of funds from peer-to-peer.

BUT - regulation hurdles still remain where a financial app of this sort must be authorized in all 50 states, which has reportedly been slowing things down. gizmodo.com/xs-everything-app- #X #FinancialServices #MoneyApp #XMoneyApp #CashBack #DebitCard #Banking #SavingsAccount #EverythingApp

  15. PhotosyntheSlug
Shows a biological concept (eg an egg being laid, camouflage, metamorphosis, bioluminescence). The cactus sea slug (Sacoproteus smaragdinus) is a herbivorous sea slug measuring up to 8 cm in length. Despite its size, it is rarely seen as its appearance is almost identical to the Caulerpa cactoides algae it feeds on.
