I've just emailed Tanya Plibersek regarding the fate of the #ToondahHarbour precious #RamsarWetlands.

This link offers a proforma email, but you can customise it. My version was much more emotive and more of a guilt trip for the minister.

I didn't however list every failing and disappointment of this #Labor government in terms of the environment and coal/gas expansion... but I really wanted to.

@tessa_murray Thank you so much for that picture! I became a birder when I lived in Australia, and I miss all my starter birds so much now that I'm no longer there. Rainbow Bee-eaters and Willy Wagtails were some of my favorites.

Today I voted for the Hooded Plover, Thinornis cucullatus, as Australian bird of the year 2023. I’ve photographed them a few times so they have a place in my heart. Endangered of course because they nest on beaches.
