I had a feeling the other day that I had edited some pics to post then didn't have time/oomph, but couldn't remember what they were, nor where! Just thought about this #cactus that flowered and when I looked for the pics-- all ready to go including alt! Gymnocactus ysabelae (or moved into Turbinicarpus as species or subspecies) #houseplants #IndoorGardening #BloomScrolling #WindowsillGardening #WinterBright #Alberta #Canada

Is #SucculentSunday a thing? It should be.

One of my lithops "split!" The one at the top with 4 "lobes." The one below still has the normal two lobes. They are both still "absorbing" the old leaves on the outside.

Lithops ("living stones") are wacky, very slow-growing dudes. You basically water them maybe 3 times a year. Any more than that and they'll up and die. I last watered these maybe six months ago? And they look pretty happy as far as weird plants go.

- Echeveria Purple Delight Reverse Variegata (They are a whole lot lighter in person than the sales pictures and may not survive due to lack of colour through which to photosynthesise. Usually you’d leave practically albino ones like this on the mother plant)

It was a bigger than usual potting night and my body complained loudly so it’s taken a couple of days to get these posted. I have an extension going on my stands on Tuesday to make room for these (and more) plus they’re being winterised as well so hopefully I won’t lose any this winter to frost

Spent most of day 32/100 blowing my nose and whining, but I can breathe mostly unimpeded today, so I’m back at it!

Meet Stone. I bought him in May as an Echeveria Baron Bold but it turns out all the while he was an Echeveria Linguas. First pic is when I got him in May and second pic taken yesterday. It’s amazing how different they look at different growth stages and different times of the year. He’s definitely looking his most glorious right now.
