Along with exploring abandoned buildings, I also volunteer as part of a UK-wide network protecting and rescuing seals.
Taken with a zoom lens; always keep a good distance. Seals come ashore to rest and digest, never force them into the sea!

I wasn't 100% certain, it looked like two ducks, but it was two seals, side by side, into the river delta. My wife saw one last month but these were the first sightings for me this season.

A tourist who threw a rock at an endangered Hawaiian monk seal in Hawaii recently became social media infamous. Meanwhile, there have been at least 10 suspicious deaths of the seals in recent years...meaning humans are the suspected killers.
Misplaced mistrust of the seals is still high among Hawaii fishers...one influencer on Moloka'i is trying to change that.
