  10. CW: Arachnophobia. Very clear spider photo contained within. But he's beautiful, so it's ok.

Just saw this magnificent lad hanging off the fence.

Google Lens (*spit*) suggests it's a false widow, and who am I to disagree with the Hallucination Engine. But if there are any arachnologists that care to correct me, I'll be glad to learn.

  11. 🕷️😊 Researchers in #Uttarakhand, #India, spotted a spider resembling #Hawaii’s happy-face #spider during ant #biodiversity work.

#DNA confirmed it was a new species, *Theridion himalayana*, with distinct evolutionary origins. Both species evolved their patterns independently.

    - _Leucauge venusta_ spiderling has set up near the mosquito bucket
    - male _Attulus fasciger_
    - couldn't quite ID this smallish, cryptic-patterned jumper, any ideas? (🌎 Toronto, Ontario)
    - bonus mite: pollen-eating _Balaustium_ have started to appear!

  22. CW: Spinnen

    Beide wohlauf 😌!
